Great so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first smart watch and I bought it to replace a Fitbit I wanted to upgrade. I didn't like the look of the square Fitbit so I started checking in to the Samsung smartwatch. There was a lot of good and bad I found after much research, however my overall experience has been positive. Warning, don't add the "Facer" app unless you want to kill your battery everyday Good...1. functionality of the watch is smooth and fluid. 2.Bezel works great, 3. touch screen is excellent. 4.Call Clarity is amazing from what others tell me when I'm talkin with them. 5.I'm getting about three and a half days of battery life with normal usage. 6. Watch just looks expensive, and you can buy extra bands and accessories to make it even classier Bad... 1. Bixby after 4 updates is still horrible. 2. I thought the battery life would be better. 3 I'm afraid to try it in the shower because of the bad reports I've heard , so I have the inconvenience of taking it off everyday and putting it back on. Even with the negatives I still think it's a great watch and those things aren't deal-breakers.

Great upgrade from my Gear S2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought the Galaxy Note 8 I thought about replacing my aging Gear S2 but had heard Samsung had a new watch coming out. Boy am I glad I waited! This watch is what a smartwatch should be. It is not only a visually pleasing piece of jewelry but functional as well. I have used many fitness trackers from the Nike branded ones to the FitBit One and Alta HR. Each one did a few things but not one did all I needed. This one watch combines everything I use into one package. The 46mm case is a good fit for my wrist. It is overall a good looking watch. Much more so than the older Gear S2. The build quality seems on par with my other Samsung equipment which is to say excellent. Battery life is a surprise. Even with the AOD on, I can get 2 full days between charges. Software is the only downside I can see. I will have to wait for the developers to catch up and see what apps are offered in the future.

Easy to read and use everything just works
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this with a Moto phone, it installed cleanly although roughly 4 different apps and/or plugins were required and you have to grant access to a lot of items on your phone. It does drain the phone battery at a noticeably higher level but not excessive, just noticeable. The watch battery is amazing, I've been running on the same charge for 4 days and it's at 46%. You can pick up phone calls and friends tell me the quality is good when I'm talking into the watch. All notifications are delivered to the cell which was my main interest point. You can change the face from classic chrono (the one seen in most of the online pictures) - I use one called Dashboard which is more digital. I didn't really care about the health app but it cheers me on when I run up our steps and you always see your pulse and I used it on the stationary bike which basically gives you a pulse profile and stores the workout. It's all very well done from a software perspective. You can respond to texts and emails by talking into your watch and it also has that finger painting type text input. I'm older and up-close eyesight is iffy but this is easy to read no problems.

Real nice Smart watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own an Apple Watch but the one thing they truly made this appealing to me was the large and thick 46mm size and a huge round face. It is a well built sturdy watch and it does have some weight to it - so keep that in mind. It certainly does not feel like a "toy" by any means. Also due to the slight bulkiness of this, just be careful not banging this into doors, walls, etc. I have already but no damage, no scratches. The watch face is strong Gorilla glass, no real fear of shattering the face. The silicone band it came with is ok for starters - its light and would be great for those working out. but there are many, many stylish bands you can pick up for this (leather, stainless steel links in many color options, etc) If you can find a 22mm band at other stores, these will work as well with the special "quick release pins" that come with the watch. You can even purchase bezels for this that completely change the look of the watch. Like the Apple Watch, this comes preloaded with some nice looking default Samsung watch faces - however unlike the other big brand name smart watch, you can download literally 1000's of fully working watch faces - that also work with the applications available on the free Samsung Gear app as well so many more very unique faces on 3rd party apps. You can literally have a different watch face every single day for the next 5+ years if you choose. Another cool step, you can download the free Watch Face Designer and create your own and load the finished face via wifi to your Galaxy Watch. The options are endless when it comes to customizing the look. Battery life is very impressive for this, to get the most out of battery life however this depends on what notifications you have set, apps used, It does have an always on option - great for ALL smart watches (no need to life the wrist to trigger the display) Even with these set, battery is still very impressive. But a slight downfall I have noticed is how many apps are available for the Galaxy Watch - compared to the popular AW. But one app I personally like is a GPS app, Map, that literally shows you a full Google like street map right on your watch, I found that very cool impressive. There are also other apps that have no trouble connecting to your smart TV, Google/Alexa devices, even bringing up my Arlo camera on my watch! Another big benefit. I did have this connected to my Samsung Note 9, everything was flawless through that phone for obvious reasons (Samsung to Samsung). But I also did connect this through my iPhone XS (The watch connecting to multiple phones is not possible so you do need to un-pair from one phone in order to connect this to a new phone.) Apple IOS Samsung app does work, but you will lose a few features. Email will work, Apple calendar appointments work with notifications, but text messaging will not. No way to receive text notifications or even sending texts using the watch connected to IOS. Other 3 party apps like Weather, you'll get Instagram notifications - if you have IG. Health apps like heath rate will work. So far after a month of heavy use, I am not disappointed with the purchase at all. It's just a slick looking watch.

Very easy to navigate
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the watch, its very easy to use, the battery lasts days, vibrates when you get a notification to include FB messenger and gives a lot of pre programmed replys. I have the Galaxy S20 and it was very easy to connect to the Samsung app and there is a ton of really cool free watch face styles to choose from and once downloaded, very easy to change to a different style. The only con I have is that your arm has to swing in order for it to track your steps, so if you're pushing a cart, it won't count those. But all in all, a great watch.

Great Galaxy Companion!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this smartwatch to supplement my Note 9 and together they work remarkably well and as intended. Design and craftsmanship are great! Battery life is extremely good, lasting upwards to 5 days before needing a charge. The AMOLED display is vibrant and bright. The first shortcoming falls in the fitness department and how things are being measured, and although the readings seem to be fairly accurate or on par with the basic premise of steps, sleep, and etc., I do not believe the readings are as accurate as other smartwatch brands out there--it's indicative of your overall health to suffice, without giving much of extensive data or explanation. Samsung Health is okay, but it can be better. My only gripes are that because the watch's form factor is on the big side, it does tend to get caught on sleeve cuffs and jackets and voice recognition with Bixby is nowhere as comparable to the intelligence of Siri and Alexa. It sometimes struggles to wake up and do simple commands, and you will need to download apps that should have been native too (e.g. timer). Sleeping with it on for tracking your sleep cycle can be a little jarring because it can get snagged on your blankets. Everything else about the smartwatch is great for day-to-day use. Software updates are really fast and convenient too.

A great watch for just about any one.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're into fitness or just like stylish watches this guy is great. Does everything you would need to track your fitness pluss internet access and phone connectivity. There are a great many watch faces to choose from including classic analog style to digital style. If you're thinking about a smartwatch, this ones a great pick.

Q: QuestionCan you answer a call directly from the watch?
Asked by Willie.
- A:Answer Yes, as long as you are connected to your phone via Bluetooth.. I have used this feature when in the pool and had my phone out on the table. It has a built in microphone, so you can talk directly into the watch. You can also start a call from the watch. This also works with text messaging.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the 46mm and the 42mm besides size?
Asked by Kevin.
- A:Answer The larger watch will go about twice as long between charges. I have the 42mm model, and I could go almost 3 days between charges, but I have gotten into the habit of just recharging every other night.
Answered by DrWMJ
Q: Questiondoes it track your sleep
Asked by Joe.
- A:Answer Yes it can track your sleep just like the Gear S3 could.
Answered by Jbdred
Q: QuestionThis might be a dumb question, but can you change the watch face on this? Say, to have a digital face or even an analog face but with just the one analog clock instead of three for various time zones? Thanks!
Asked by Morgan.
- A:Answer Yes, just give the watchface a long press and it will give you the option to customize.

Q: QuestionCan you calibrate the step counter? This is my 2nd Galaxy watch (return my first after one day - same problem) and the steps are counting 50% to 70% less steps than my Virgin Miles buzz. I’ve turned off/on and does not do anything to correct problem
Asked by JvYankees.
- A:Answer Make sure your height is correct in the SHealth app. It uses the average. Additionally it doesn't count your steps unless you walk more then about 15 steps. I thought this was a problem too until I played with it for a few hours

Q: QuestionDoes it have an Altimeter like the Gear s3 Frontier had??
Asked by Lighthouse.
- A:Answer Yes, this watch does have an Altimeter.

Q: QuestionThis is what i need in a watch: wear all the time ie. in shower, pool and while running (sweat-proof) and slightly rugged. Will this be a good choice?
Asked by jack112.
- A:Answer It's a good choice but you'll have to rinse it off and pat it dry. The sensor on the back can act up if there are any chemicals such as soap, chlorine, or salt from your sweat. Shouldn't be a big deal. You can put a short cut in for water mode on the drop down screen. This sounds like something you'd want to do. This tells the watch to not keep lighting up as you swing your arms while running or activate the touch screen while under water. The cool thing is when you exit water mode it does a routine to expel any water that got into the case though I have no idea how!

Q: QuestionWill the Galaxy Watch receive text messages?
Asked by CDuncan.
- A:Answer Yes it does
