About

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB IN CONCERT:

British indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club had no idea they were going to last when they named themselves after an Indian restaurant chain in 2005. Nine years later, the band released their fourth studio album, 2014's So Long, See You Tomorrow — a merciful end to the three-year waiting period their fans have had to endure since 2011's A Different Kind of Fix. Following a home turf British tour in early 2014, the band will treat North American fans to their intricately layered live show, including a highly anticipated appearance at Coachella.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Fronted by Jack Steadman on vocals, the members of Bombay Bicycle Club began playing music together at age 15, enjoying several incarnations before eventually naming themselves Bombay Bicycle Club. The band scored an upset in 2006, beating out hometown favorites The Holloways to win Virgin Mobile's "Road to V" battle of the band's competition, earning two victory sets at the high-profile V Festival. The band's 2009 debut LP I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose was a hit in the UK, scoring them NME's Best New Band award in 2010 —an honor for which they beat out Mumford & Sons. With follow-ups Flaws (2010) and A Different Kind of Fix (2011), Bombay Bicycle Club cemented their place as one of Britain's brightest young talents.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"I was so impressed by BBC! They sounded perfect live. Just like the album. They put on such a great show and gave it their all."

"This band played perfectly and were obviously having fun while performing. Great energy and sound."

"They came ready to rock - and definitely amused both newcomers and seasoned fans alike. Their setlist was stacked with old favorites as well as two new songs and the mix kept the show moving along with a steady rhythm."

    A bit listless and short

by Highball on 3/18/24The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I understand the band had a bit of a personal situation, which led to a substitute drummer coming in, who played really well...and although I'm empathetic to the situation, they only played for just over an hour, which I don't think is acceptable for a full ticket price...especially when they didn't play a couple of their biggest hits (specifically, the two songs I was coming to hear). Overall their energy was a bit lacking as well. Hate to be negative, but this was a disappointing show.

First time seeing this band live, they are fantastic. Great energy, vibes, most of all great vocals, live I was able to appreciate how much harmony and backing vocals the band has. Love Olive, great backup vocals plus she plays sax!

Such a nice experience to be kept for life!

by Alex on 3/11/24Emo's Austin - Austin

I'm a huge fan from the band, that's why I picked Austin to go and finally see them play. Emo's such a nice venue, with a friendly staff, and we were so close from the stage, with nice restrooms easy to access, bars also really close, and also a nice option of food at the patio. I'm definitely coming back there.

    They lived up to it

by Ashley J on 3/7/24Brooklyn Bowl Nashville - Nashville

I never thought I’d get to see them live back when I was 15 years old and just heard their first album. I’m 24. I fangirled just as hard as when I was a teen. Loved their performance. The lights were amazing, their stage performance had so much energy it was reflective on the crowd. I wish they were doing a signing! I cried too many times at that show, and they played all my favorite songs. I love them. It was everything I could’ve imagined and more.

The night was beyond incredible and both BBC and The Greeting Committee delivered superior performances, truly engaging and connecting with the audience! I will absolutely be going to see them live again. My love for this band has grown ineffably having now seen them live.

    Bad sound

by C. on 10/4/19House of Blues Chicago presented by Cricket Wireless - Chicago

Unsure if it was a House of Blues issue or sound engineer issue, but sound quality was HORRIBLE! Saw BBC at Bottom Lounge in '14 and there was no issue with the sound. I was straining just to figure out what song was being played.
