Wonderful gift for little girl
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for what it is. Even better with Google Play store side loaded: I got my Fire HD 7 on black Friday and set up was a breeze. I side loaded the Google Play store (check Youtube, it's easy) and installed my favorite Google apps, Youtube, Google Play Music, other apps I like from the Play Store that Amazon's app store does not provide and I'm loving the tablet. It's no speed demon but for the price I wasn't looking for cutting edge technology. I also bought the cover and the docking station and switch between the two easily. This Kindle Fire HD 7 blends the best of both worlds for me regarding size and image quality. It's a nice companion to have near, lets my kids use the apps that they like, moderate gaming, lots of reading and now having both Amazon Music and Google Play Music, a slew of options for music. If you are looking for a nice reliable multimedia hub, look no further than this tablet. The price is on point for the features it has provided thus far and I am happy with my purchase. it is a great middle of the road tablet and the price it can't be beat. I'm giving it 5 because It's a must have by any means but it fits the casual niche perfectly too.

Amazon tablets are what they are
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. And if you know this, you won’t be disappointed. I keep buying Amazon tablets and then I end up gifting them to people. I still have this one however. I buy them for reading as it’s easier to do so than on my larger iPad Pro. If you have Amazon prime or use any streaming Tv/movie services, this is decent for watching those. (See photo of iPad Pro on full brightness vs Amazon tablet on full brightness). It’s not a tier tablet; it’s a very nice tablet for what you pay for and you can’t get anything better at this price. If you haven’t introduced your kids to Apple products, get them an Amazon and save your money. They won’t know. And if they break it, you can buy another because it’s inexpensive. I like it for books and for carrying out when I don’t want to risk taking a more expensive tablet with me. Also, I’m a tech nerd, so I have a lot of devices. If you’re a basic user and don’t want to dish out hundreds of dollars, get this (not another cheap Android tablet that will crap out on you) and you’ll be fine. Throw it in a $10-15 case from Amazon and it travels well.

A reliable tablet for $30!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Tablet on Black Friday at Best Buy on sale for $30, and after using it for a few months, I have to say this is a great bang for your buck! It has a lot of great features and it runs faster than I expected it to run. Here are some pros and cons from my personal experience: Pros: 1. Fast and easy to use OS with little or no slowdowns. This tablet does get constant updates which helps keep the tablet running smoothly. 2. Micro SD card slot: very helpful for putting videos and lives onto the tablet and adding extra storage when you need it. 3. Alexa built in 4. Battery life is pretty good and lasts a whole day with no problem. Cons: 1. AppStore: Not a lot of apps to choose from: There isn't YouTube or any Google apps available, but there are a lot of knock off third party apps on the AppStore that don’t work very well. 2. Lock screen advertisements are very annoying and uses up WiFi and battery life. You can’t put a wallpaper on the lock screen which honestly sucks.

Not a bad cheap tablet to use with Amazon
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple tablet and you can't complain for the price. My only complaints would be with amazon. You can't let your kids use it to watch prime or play games without them being able to buy things. You can set a password but then you need to put it in every time they switch what there doing. (It gets annoying quick.) And to get google play store you need to change settings and download them from a website in a specific order to get it. Not the end of the world but its annoying. Plus if you have multiple Amazon devices and your kid does buy something they can't tell what one did it. My kids have bought a couple of shows when they new they shouldn't of. And my son bought $90 in game addons in a free game. And Amazon just says you need to contact the software company. They never responded. But they probably would have done those things with an iPad too. I would say the cases from poetic are amazing though. A bit pricey considering the tablet was $35 but besides the normal regular drops on wood and tile floors. We have one got thrown off the second floor once and also left outside in the rain over night and is still going.

Overall good tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as an early birthday gift for my 5 year old. He loves it! The screen is clear and moves pretty fast. I know some devices lag even with wifi but this ones pretty good. To my knowledge it holds charge pretty good I think my son's dies often because he won't allow it to charge all the way so yeah. I would recommend getting a case if you're getting it for a little one. I will be getting one soon. It's a steal for the price for sure.

Asked by standingdeer.
- A:Answer Spend a little more and get the Fire HD 8 tablet. You’ll be glad you did. It’s got much better specs. The Fire 7 tablet’s screen is decent at best, but not high definition. All Fire tablets should work with any speakers you may have. Fire 7 means it has a 7 inch screen, Fire HD 8 means it has an 8 inch screen and so on ..
