Love this couch, bought forLourdesLove this couch, bought for our sun room. I wanted something that over night guests could sleep on but wouldn’t look like a sleeper! Did the job, looks great!5
Exactly what we wanted in a couchGraceFits our space & needs. Revitalized our living room with something that comfortable 5
Comfortable and affordable SariaExtremely comfortable and affordable compared to other furniture companies. 5
Comfortable couch poor sleeper MichaelVery comfortable couch and Chase once you turn it into a sleeper. It’s a piece of trash. The sleeper portion that comes out from underneath constantly comes apart and will not stay hooked up to the couch. If you’re looking for a sleeper, don’t waste your time or money.3
Still deciding FnuThis is our third weeks having this sleeper sofa. I was very excited at first, looking forward to try on from our living room. I have to say, it is a little bit too short/ low, and kinda small if pull out the sofa and become sleeping bed all the time was comfortable but we can’t to that all the times. So, i give it 3 stars because is not bad but not the best. Will review again another 2 weeks and see. 3

Maybe I’m old but…AnnaMaybe I’m too old but this sofa is not comfortable after an hour sitting on it. I want to love it, because the ability to pull out into a bed for guests is really ideal, but it’s like sitting on plywood. There’s very little cushion, especially if you’re old & fat like me. The blue version is also a magnet for pet hair. We bought the sofa for our basement rec room about a year ago and we only use it once a week (or so) for movie nights. It seems to be holding up fairly well, but we’re planning to replace it soon because it’s so uncomfortable.3
SectionalJulieI love my blue sectional! It provides comfortable seating and fit my family room needs. It will also provide bedding for family staying over night.5
Great for the game roomIsaiahI've put 2 of these (mirrored) in my game room, and they are so handy if guests are sleeping over.
For movie nights, my wife and I will lay in one and our boys in the other, but during game nights, they are excellent for sitting with a folding table between as sofas.5
like my sofa purchaseRoci do like my sofa and so do my dogs.4
Not the best couchJenniferWe’ve had this couch for a year now and it’s not that great. We have the beige color and I wish the material was like the grey one they display at the store. Over the time this couch is not comfortable to sit in for hours, the cushion has sinked since we use it a lot and has a lot of lint. I wish I can replace it with a different one. i think this couch would be good for a guest room where you don’t use the couch as much. I’ve only had it for 1 year and I’m looking in to buying a different one but I’m kind of upset since this couch is not cheap.3
Matched LanNot too big or not too small for our living room space5

Great at First but Doesn't Hold UpCourtneyI really love the functionality of this couch, but I've had it for less than 3 years and it hasn't held up at all.
I've already had to replace several of the spring clips (the springs are fine, just some of the clips were poorly attached to begin with and snapped off). The side armrests - especially the lower side have completely collapsed and the stuffing is falling down the side of the couch. Additionally the pull out part is starting to fall in when you apply any pressure. I guess it still functions okay but for the price I feel like the quality has deteriorated way faster than expected.
I live alone so it's mostly just me using the couch. I occasionally have guests over and it's a running joke that you can't sit on the pull out part of the couch without risking falling in. I'm normally a huge fan of IKEA products too. I should also add that this couch is $200 more now than when I purchased it in 2021, so hopefully they've improved the quality.3
Wow! Great Price, solid productStanleyThe Friheten sofa bed is one of the few sofa beds that are comfortable. Gone is the metal bar in the middle of your back. If you like 60's modern look this one nails it in a very sophisticated way. Many of IKEA products tend to look like 60's knock-offs but the style of this seems to be a complete from-all-angles original design that is exciting and "complete" and needs no apologies. Love the product, looks great, plenty of storage, what's not to love! Priced at a point where you do not have to take out a second mortgage on your home just to own one. Your "couch surfing" friends and relatives will never leave... something one should seriously think about before letting them sleep on it. The one I like the best is with the darker grey cloth. IKEA more products like this Please!!!5
Friheten FutonMarkKinda spendy, but it is a VERY good futon. It wasn't the easiet to assemble, but it was doable with assistance from my daughter. The assembled futon is rather heavy, but I believe that is what makes it so good.5
Versatile, cozy sofaMatthewMy partner and I live in a small 800 sq foot appartment, so when we wanted to upgrade our sofa, the Friheten was our top choice. Its fairly comfortable, but definitely on the firm side. We love how versatile it is. For the two of us, we have enough space to both be able to stretch out on it. When we have guests over, up to four people can sit on it comfortably. Lastly, we can pull out the rolling extension to expand the sofa into the sleeper. The chaise storage holds all of our board games and puzzles and still has room for more. It is possible to construct on your own, but its really easy with an extra hand. My only complaint is our chaise is a little difficult to lift. I'm not sure what the issue is, whether the spring is a bit stiff on the hinge or it just needs a shot of WD40, but we lift it so infrequently that its not a dealbreaker. Overall, we're very happy with it and it is very much worth the investment. 4
SleeperBruceVery easy to put together good value for area needed 5
Uncomfortable for lying down or sleepingKateI have owned one of these for almost five years. I would not have bought it if I had known about the biggest design flaw, which is that the area where the chaise connects to the couch part has a very hard hidden edge that you can feel when lying down, especially if you put your head toward the chaise end. This makes it extremely uncomfortable to lay in that position. You basically will feel a narrow board jamming into your ribs. If you lay down on the couch the other way with your feet toward the chaise end, well, there is no side edge to the couch, so your pillows tend to fall off. The cushions are very firm and extremely uncomfortable to lay on. So this whole thing is useless as a couch to lay down on, or as a bed. It’s fine for sitting and lounging on the chaise. I wish I wouldn’t have bought it. Cannot recommend the L-shaped Friheten. Very clever features but very flawed when it comes to comfort.2
