Very good product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really a great product. Easy to install and it’s really affective. I was having trouble having wifi but now I am getting full signal and speed is good. I thought I have to put multiple in a 2700 sq feet house but it extends beyond it. Getting good signal in backyard also. I would definitely recommend this product.

it works - my wifi is truly extended
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally figured out how to make this work without having to call Netgear. Now the wifi works in the back yard where before I had to use cellular data. I no longer get a spinning globe when streaming the smart tv or a message saying my broadband is too slow.. Well worth it.

Disappointed, money wasted !
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an IT professional, I can say Netgear has been a respected brand when we talk about networking devices. Unfortunately this time I have to say this is NOT a good device. If you are looking to expand your signal, let’s say to your office room because you want to keep your connection strength, this will NOT do the job. It will give you signal yes, but your Download Speed and Upload Speed will be REALLY AFFECTED, I have Frontier FIOS, compare the pictures below. It will reduce your internet speed when you are connected to this device in more than 50%. So if you are looking just to have signal and some connectivity that’s fine, but if you already have signal but looking to keep your ISP connectivity metrics to have a strength convection to work at your home office, this is not what you need. Is really disappointing because after try a few devices I though Netgear will make the difference, saying up to 300mb/s but it doesn’t go even up to 50mb/s.

Great extension of my wireless.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a" man cave/office" in my unattached garage about 100 feet away from my cable company supplied Wi-Fi modem. It actually was able to reach this but the signal without the extender but it was weak and often dropped the connection or slow speed. I installed this NETGEAR N300 about 50 feet away. I now get great connectivity for my laptop. The initial setup is to: - Plug the Range Extender into an outlet (I put them side-by-side) very close to the modem. You DO NOT use an Ethernet cord to set this extender up. - Wait for the solid green LED power light of the extender. - Push the WPS button on the extender and another LED light will blink. - Push the WPS button on you old Modem and watch them connect. I had to look for the WPS button on the old modem because it not obvious but it does exist. - Once the Router LED light on the Extender is solid green, unplug the extender and move it into an area that already can receive some signal, (I placed the Extender 1/2 way between my office and the old modem) as it cannot "extend" what it cannot detect! - Select the new Network name it has created (it will be your old network name with an -EXT at the end) - Use the password you use on your existing Wi-Fi system and you are done!

Not a Techie But No Problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to strengthen the wifi in my daughter's room for her PS4. I bought this device after reading some reviews on Amazon and Best Buy. (yes, I paid a few dollars more from Best Buy but wanted the ease of service from them if any issues popped up). The one thing I did read is there were people that seemed to struggle with assigning the .ext to connect the device. Some said the manual was hard to understand. Why bother folks? There is a You Tube video that walks you through step by step. I am far from a Techie but this was a breeze and had up and running in minutes. Works great.

Q: QuestionRange increase in feet?Anyone know how far the signal will increase? Is it capable of sending a boost to an RV a few 100 feet away from the house where the router is?
Asked by Moon.
- A:Answer No the signal will be weak and the data transfer rate is not that high to begin with so even though it might work it will work very slowly. If you are looking for something better you need to purchase a wifi booster that has dual band....750 or better...you are looking for anything in the $60+ range anything cheaper then that don't expect quick internet.

Q: QuestionWill this work with spectrum modem and router?
Asked by Spectrum.
- A:Answer I was having trouble with wifi coverage throughout my house, which was built in 1790 and has thick walls and lots of blocking conditions. Spectrum moved my modem and I still had intermittent coverage in one area. I bought this extender and it remedied the problem. Worth a try as you can return easily at Best Buy.

Q: QuestionWill the netgear extenders work on a hotspot wifi ?Using an ATT hotspot , want to cover a larger area.
Asked by April.
- A:Answer I don't see why not - its designed to pick up on any wifi signal you can connect to. As long as the hotspot is up and running you shouldn't have any problems.
