This is Miella from Dyson. The Dyson V8 machine comes with a rechargeable battery, that takes 5.5 hours to charge for a completely depleted battery. It has up to 40 minutes of run time.

This is my 2nd Dyson Animal, so I can have one upstairs and one downstairs.  It's just as good as my original so far.  I love that it cleans efficiently without the roaring motor that terrifies my animals, and without the high power draw that blows the circuit breaker.  It's lightweight and always handy, so much easier on my aging joints and aching back.  It is easy to maintain - just wash the filters occasionally - and it never needs repairs.  I never thought I would love a vacuum -- live and learn!

Why didn't I get this sooner?

Obsessed with this vacuum. I had been holding out on upgrading to a Dyson because I live in such a small apartment and had a free vacuum a friend gave me. I thought I should just suck it up and use the old free crappy one and move on with my life. But I rarely vacuumed and finally decided to make the splurge and, my god, BEST PURCHASE EVER. The attachments are all so useful, it's lightweight and agile. It has a satisfying wall charging station (install this right away for maximum enjoyment). Honestly a fantastic small apartment vacuum. It gets in every nook and cranny and has upgraded my life immensely.

Fantastic Studio Apartment Vacuum 10/10

This is my second cordless Dyson.  First one was a Cmas gift I gave to my wife but she became disabled and it's use fell to me.  I wore it it out but the only other vacuum we had was an upright Dyson her sister had gifted her.  Hated it!  Order another cordless Dyson.  Can't live without it.

Wouldn't have any other

Excellent vacuum.  The different attachments are great.  The wall mount is very user friendly.  Battery life is sufficient for me with 1800 square feet to vacuum on low power setting.  Picks up so much pet hair I need to empty the canister 3x when vacuuming the house.  Love that the brush roll does not grind any gears or belts when it snags.  The brush just stops, you lift it up, and then it starts spinning again.  My previous stick vacuum would make a terrible grinding sound with snags and it eventually lost torque and kept snagging more and more often.

Great design at a great cost

While this is a refurbished Dyson, it came in factory-packaging with full documents that made it indistinguishable from a brand-new unit.  So far, it's been great. I'll keep it simple: the unit is light, it's quiet, and it really sucks up the dirt and dog hair.  It came with several attachments and a very handy wall bracket which we mounted behind a door in our laundry room as shown in the photo.
So we bought Dyson quality - and a six month manufacturer warranty - at a very attractive price.  We added on two years of coverage through the Walmart-Allstate program for next to nothing, something like $35-40.  So to date, this has been a great purchase and a great value.

Best vacuum since we bought our Dyson Ball corded vacuum 15 years ago. Shark has nothing on Dyson. Had to throw our Shark vacuum away because it kept clogging. wouldn't pick anything up.

Dyson cordless vacuum

For the price I was really hoping to get what I payed for. I was surprised that when I opened the package some parts looked used and scratched pretty disappointed.

I ordered on-line.  I received a box and half the parts weren't there.   Wal Mart referred me to Dyson and I had to contact Dyson directly, who still had a short warrant.  I had also purchased the Wal Mart 2 year warrant, however they did not resolve it but referred me to Dyson.  So Dyson is supposed to be sending me the rest of the parts.  And I am not sure about recommending the extra warranty since Wal Mart just passed the buck.

Still waiting for all the parts.

The Bottom Adapter came broke. The shipping box is not damaged so this must be bad quality assurance.

Showed up with a cut charging cord and dents and scratches all over the unit. This thing cannot be considered refurbished. Will be returning ASAP.
