SO CHEAP! Not built like they use to be. AndreaI have had this storage unit for over ten years. When it was part of the Malm collection. I had red and black cubbies/drawers. I wanted to change the red out for tan. I was so disappointed by how cheap they have made these. The original ones had a very sturdy thick hard core, the same material as the drawer fronts and cubby door front. These are now flimsy and would never last the 10+ years of the originals ones. I wished I would have kept the red ones and just changed out the fronts of them. so very disappointed in Ikea.

drawer sides too short limiting storage space Kristin & RandallI wish the drawer sides were tall to match front. The drawer sides and back are much shorter than the front and make the storage space very shallow where you can’t store as much as you would think—maybe half as what you could if the sides of the drawer were taller. Also—the draws tend to come apart every few months and have to be tightened back up

NopeAndriThere is no salvaging this. So cheaply made, holes don't line up, it's impossible to get it fully constructed (and I've successfully taken on complex home projects for years.) Even the alignment of the tracks makes it impossible to fit the drawers flush with the top and bottom of the bookcase. Save yourselves.
Nice looking drawers, but the insert was damaged.CarolI received my Kallax 2-Drawer unit this week. I managed to assemble it after "repairing" the insert with packaging tape. (Sure hope it holds!). Otherwise I like the drawers and they look great in my cabinet. The drawers seem to be well constructed, but the insert that holds them in the cabinet is flimsy to say the least.
Keeps Falling ApartStephanieI've had these for a few years now but really they only lasted a few months. theyve been empty for a while kow because the front keeps coming off and it won't stay on even with glue. Wish I didn't get them.i only used these drawers for small nicknacks in a 2x2 kallax that I used as a nightstand

Just plain awesome. BrendaThese drawers are simple to put together and they feel and look like they are built into the unit. I love them.
Cheap sides and backJoyInserting these make the Kallax more cheap quality. The drawers themselves are ok but the insert that goes around the three sides is just cardboard. I'd really like more inserts but I'll pass due to this.
Assembling the insert took at long as it did to assemble a 4 cube Kallax. There are extra useless holes on some pieces so one can accidently use the wrong hole; first time building any furniture that I had a snafu (minor but still, it's a cheap insert).
Screwing in the insert was difficult; one side went in with force while the other side (the side on the inside/middle of the Kallax) I had to back out and re-try multiple times.
Great insert for KALLAXThuPurchased two sets to add to our KALLAX shelves. Great for storing and putting things away and the rollers are smooth. Easy to assemble.

Good sizeMaryI bought 4 sets of drawers for Kallax wall unit in my craft room. They offer plenty of room to store all my card making supplies. My husband put them together in under an hour. Thinking of getting another set.
So pleased I got the drawers as an accessory TrudyWe got a four section Kallax to replace a round table in our living room. Adding the drawer unit enables me to store items like tissues, pens, scissors, nail clippers, hand cream, lip balm, even a cat brush, etc. out of sight but readily at hand.
