Compact, sleek and practical
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have other HPs, 17". This 14" is medium size (not too small, not too big) and portable like if I were carrying a larger iPad. It's not heavy or bulky. The anodized warm gold finish gives it an aesthetic sleek/chic look. I like that the keyboard can light up when I'm using it in a dim lit room. This computer serves its purpose for work related matters. I bought this at the early Black Friday deals when it was practically $300 off from the regular price. It was worth getting for all its features. I'm happy with this purchase!

Excellent Windows Laptop for the price I paid
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a Mac guy since 2009 and this is my first Windows Laptop in 10 years. I needed one ungently to use with some softwares (Extron Global Configurator Pro and Nexia Audio Processor) for a new Audio and Video control over IP that work only on Windows. Two weeks ago this laptop was on sale for $499 so after looking at the specifications it was no brainer and got it from my local Best Buy. It took me a bit to get used again to Windows but in just a couple of hours I was working with my Extron software and completed the whole project in just three days. Now it's in my backpack with my MacBook Pro. I use the MacBook Pro for every day tasks and the HP to monitor my Audio and Video system at work.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the laptop for my wife and she has not stopped thanking me since. The laptop works seamlessly and easy to setup too. She loves it and uses it almost everyday, I tried to have a feel of it too and I was blown away by its performance. Great product for its price.

I recommend this laptop 100% - for Students
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Think this is an excellent laptop for students and people who do office works and navigates the internet. It have an Excellent keyboard, sound and screen resolution and touchscreen (It feels like any Samsung or Ipad tablet). It doesn't weight much and have a decent battery life. In other words, I recommend this laptop, and it turns to be an excellent companion in everyday academic challenge.

Great! Just the fan can be annoying sometimes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for a deal on Black Friday. It’s fast, lightweight, and sleek looking. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because like other people said, the fan can be loud sometimes. I think it’s a hardware issue cause updating or changing settings doesn’t help. It’s strange cause I have an older HP Pavilion x360 from years ago that has a hard drive and it’s quieter than this. At it’s highest the fan almost makes a whistling sound. Fortunately it’s not constantly on and I’m willing to ignore it since I don’t have to use this in a public space.

Q: QuestionIs the RAM upgradeable? A Q&A answer at its cousin, 14M-DH0003DX (with 128GB SSD), states that the 8GB RAM is upgradeable to 32GB. How about this model? Can I upgrade the RAM?
Asked by norky69.
- A:Answer norky69 is correct, HP Pavilion x360 14m-dh1003dx will take 32GB RAM. There are two slots available, so you can install up to 16GB into each slot. According to Crucial this model supports DDR4-2666 SDRAM. There is a trick to open up the bottom cover and access RAM slots. Two screws are hidden under the rear rubber feet. Take a look at the pictures. Also, you can install additional 2.5" SSD into this laptop. I would post more pics here but there is a limit. Google my nickname for a complete disassembly guide. ;) Good luck!

Q: QuestionA lot of people have asked about battery life. When HP team answers, they say 9 hours, but the customers say 2-4 hours, even when new. What's the discrepancy? Also, customers are saying they paid $499. Was that a Black Friday deal? $750 is a big jump.
Asked by Inthemarket.
- A:Answer Is a company misleading? "Best answer: Expected Battery life: Up to 9 hours and 30 minutes (mixed usage)(70) Up to 9 hours and 45 minutes (video playback)(75) Up to 6 hours and 45 minutes (wireless streaming)(80) Try deep cycle charging a couple of times to see if it improves. Try charging to 100% and then discharging to 0% and recharging to 100%. Do this twice and if the battery life doesn't significantly improve, you have an issue. with the battery. By HP Team 1 month ago" I sent it back to the service for that, but it was sent back that it was okay. What is the truth?
