Yes, it does. As long as you put enough batter to cover the whole waffle iron, it will come out a uniform 8".

Yes, it does. I have not measured mine but I am sure it is. The waffle comes almost to the edge.

Yes. I put them on an 8 inch paper plate and they had no room left on the edge of the plate.

The device measures 7 7/8" but waffles expand a bit and are 8".

I just it is relative. Like $7.99 is seven and some change. The inside waffle eating space is 7.25 inches. The outside included measures 7.75 inches.

Doesn&#39;t cook well to start with no matter the batter. Uneven heating and soggy waffles will result no matter if gluten free or not. Choose another iron

Does it makes an exactly large 8" waffle? I saw the product size is relatively small.

It depends on your batter. I like my batter thicher, so the waffles are about 3/4 inch thisk. Yummy.

They are Belgian style and measure about 5/8" thick.

NOT thick like the commercial ones. I've used the machines inside of hotels and these are not as thick.

We used 3/4 cup batter and the waffles are about half an inch thick. If you use more batter, the extra will run out the sides. If you don't mind cleaning up the mess, use more. We also use a thicker batter but the waffles are soft. I toast them for the crunch.

How thick are waffles made in this machine?

Use mild soap and water then rinse with clean rag. You can use oil on a paper towel to wipe on then, but I like to us a non stick spray. then turn waffle iron on highest setting and use a slice of bread to let it "cure".

a damp sponge, soapy water, but do not ever immerse the unit in water.
water n electric stuff do not do well together.

i sponged off the plates and wiped off the soap well and rinsed it with a wet paper towels and napkin.

then I cooked a waffle that I tossed out to the birds.
just to get rid of any soap, oil or other residue left on the grids.
this was a waffle for the birds. . .

the next waffle was made after it heated and was lightly greased with a stick of margarine [dont use butter, it burns] spray oils often stick or burn, leaving a bad taste. [yuck spray]

The non stick surface is excellent..I just wiped it down well with a wet rag before I used it..

Condition the waffle iron by brushing with vegetable oil before using. After use - allow to cool and wipe off any apills or crumbs.

I just wiped mine down with a warm wash cloth the first time.

I liked the light weight of this waffle maker. The consumer friendly instructions are easy to understand. This is the waffle maker for my husband and me, and I highly recommend you try it out yourself.

A few weeks ago I went to get out my seldom used vintage waffle iron to make homemade sourdough waffles. I discovered I no longer had a waffle maker, so settled for pancakes that morning.

Even though I am in my mid-60's, and downsizing, I decided to buy a new waffle maker, and I am very glad I did.
This Oster waffle maker doesn't take up much room, is lightweight, and makes delicious, fluffy waffles that are easy to remove with my wooden tongs.
Look at the attached picture of the light, fluffy, scrumptious Belgian Sourdough waffles I made for my 65th birthday. They melted in my mouth.
Clean up was a breeze, I just lightly wiped off the grids and let them air dry. 
The grids are fixed, not removable, but that wasn't an issue. Instructions said to gently clean, and preseason the grids before use, which was quick and easy.
At the fair price point, ease of use, and delicious waffles it produces, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Oster waffle maker for your own use, or for a gift. You deserve hot, fresh, light, fluffy, delicious waffles.
