I absolutely love the sodastream It is so easy to use and I love the one touch feature. It is so economical and convenient to have
 I also love the convenient take anywhere bottles. Can't wait to try all the different flavorings that is available. I have already told everyone how great the SodaStream is. Wonderful product. So glad I have it.

SodaStream Fizza One Touch Black Starter Kit

I love love love this soda stream fizzy one touch black sparkling water maker it is so easy to use. I drink sparkling water all the time and sometimes it's hard to get a good flavor but this is even better because you can flavor the water yourself it comes with the canister for the carbonation and all you have to do is fill the water up to the line put it in and close it and it puts all the carbonation in that you need I love this I haven't bought any other sparkling water since.

So easy and convenient

We usually buy Italian sparking water so we were curious to try this soda system. We were surprised to see how easy it is to setup and the sparkling water is just a button away! We tried the max frizz first and, whoa, those are a lot of bubbles! Next we tried the minimum frizz and that's what I really enjoyed, the right amount of frizz for me. We want to try the flavoured drops next but for now we used fruits like fresh lemon or strawberries and we sometimes a drop of two of stevia, whenever we want a sweetened beverage. We like the fact that you can choose which amount of frizz to add to the water, you can have different options for different members of the family or different guests. We are very happy with this product!

Cool kitchen gadget!

I received this item for the purpose of review.

This is our first experiment with a Sodastream. They've been on the market for a while and we've always been curious. So glad we were given this opportunity to try.

1. It's TALL. Almost 17 inches. So make sure the space you choose to store it FITS. It does not fit on our 60s kitchen counter so it sits on the table.
2. Instructions are just OK. It took me a minute to figure out that I needed to screw in the C02 bottle. But I'm new to this game.
3. Also need to make sure that the drinking bottle is secured into the front. It is lifted off the pad in front. When I read about people say it leaks, this could be part of it.
4. We tried it with just fresh wedges of lemon. I did actually add the chunks of lemon right into the bottle, then added cold bottled water. For the purpose of experiment, we used about 18 oz and did not take the water all the way up to the full line. We figure if we're going to only want 12 oz of water at a time, that is what we will try it with the first time.
5. Push the buttons on top once. They light up. Press the amount of C02 you want - there are 3 levels. I tried the middle one and it gave me about 4 puffs of C02. 
6. The machine makes a hissing noise when pumping. When finished, it sort of makes another hiss and stops. I carefully lifted out the bottle. I say CAREFUL because there is one last blast of C02 when the bottle is discharged from that station. So be CAREFUL. 
7. Much to our surprise, it was really very tasty. It gave us each a full glass of FRESH sparkling water with fresh fruit lemon flavor.

While you can purchase the flavorings, we are old school and will stick to what we like best which will be lemon and lime. However, we're excited to try other fresh fruit flavors like sliced strawberry, apple, orange, and maybe even a lemonade powder mix. I think it will get both of us to stop drinking so much Diet soda and maybe have more refreshing fruit flavored water in a flash. If we don't use fresh sliced fruit, an alternative is to add a few drops of fresh juice. 

The replacement cartridges will be pricey but we'll see how much we use it and like it. In comparison to the cost of bottled or canned water, this is a great alternative. It's also better for the planet. 

It will be an interesting thing to try at the Christmas gathering. Fresh sparkling water in pretty glasses. Who doesn't want to try that?

I'm impressed with it but I will say that the instructions could have had a few words with them instead of the little cryptic drawings. That was my only CON to the whole thing. There is also a short video on the company's website that tells exactly how to do it. 

I would highly recommend it for families who want kids to make healthier choices. You can get that kick of carbonation without the calories or sugar. I'm not sure I would let small children work this thing but older kids would be OK. It's fun to watch it working so it will be fun for grandkids too.

Good for the Planet - TASTY WATER

The SodaStream Fizzi One Touch machine is amazing! It is
Easy to use and put together! It has 3 different settings for less
Bubbly or more bubbly to most bubbly. You bubble the water 
With the carbon dioxide. Then add your flavoring. I add my own 
Flavor mixes to it and it works wonderfully. Or I add the water to 
Alcohol or juice. Or just drink it plain. I really absolutely love this
SodaStream machine and definitely recommend it if it is up your alley.

Super bubbler great for drinks

I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program. This soda stream is very easy to use. Make sure you put the water at the water mark. If not you will have a mess. There are three settings in the machine for your desired fizzyness. Easy to use bottle and canister for co2. Great product for sparkling waters and sodas. Easy one touch buttons.

Easy to use!

I love this gadget! This nifty gadget lets me add carbonation to almost anything I want to drink. It was super easy to get out and set up. Making the soda takes some trial and error if you're working with things other than water. Some liquids are more easily agitated and will make a mess. Thankfully this machine is designed to shut off if you hit the carbonation button on it again. 

I used Hawaiian Punch my first time, and it made a great soda. It also made a mess at first because I used too much carbonation, but the cleanup was extremely simple - this machine is designed with messes in mind.

I love making my own soda

Easy to set up in a minute or two. The instructions are diagrams only and although a couple were a little hard to decipher, it's generally easy to figure out. The air cylinder just screws in from the back bottom and the detachable power cord plugs into the underneath. There are the 3 settings for carbonation levels to choose and once carbonated, just add flavoring. I haven't tried all of the flavors, and I don't care for the plain 'Cola' (prob because of my taste for a specific bottled brand), but I do like Cream Soda and Cherry Cola so far. As an alternative to buying bottled soda, it's very easy, convenient and even fun to use, but neither of my local Walmarts carry the CO2 refill cylinders and delivery is not available. I'll either have to travel 30 mins to neighboring communities or find another store that ships. So, check Walmart.com for general availability for refills in your area. One last thing of note; although SodaStream bottles are BPA free and good for 3 years, the bottles (and machine) seem evidently made with PFAs due to their unmistakable water repelling qualities.

Bottled soda alternative

After I got the SodaStream starter kit, I looked for flavors at my local Wal-Mart and never found them. An associate told me they stopped carrying anything associated with SodaStream a few years ago. So, unless I wanted to drink plain fizzy water, which I didn't, I had to order flavors online. Walmart Online carried too few soft drink flavors, so I went to the SodaStream website to order. A C02? canister is $30 or $15 per refill - 60 liters per bottle. The flavors are mostly $5.99 per bottle which make 8-9 liters of your drink per bottle. So, not including shipping or tax it would cost about $1.75 to make 2 liters of a soft drink. A 2-liter bottle of Dr. Pepper, Coke, etc., is around $1.79 or less here. So when you include shipping and tax on each flavor bottle and/or C02 canister, the cost is way more than it would be to just buy whatever soft drink you want at the store. I didn't calculate the juice flavors, which can be more expensive than soft drinks. Although it might save you room not having all those 2-liter bottles around, the cost of using the SodaStream is too much for me to continue using it once what I have at home is gone. It is very easy to use and the only difficulty I can see is finding out exactly how much flavor to put into the bottler after you've carbonated it. I did like the Diet Dr. Pete flavor, I just used too much of it the first time. If you like plain carbonated water, it may be worth using. However, I can't recommend this item as it's less expensive to just buy soft drinks at the store.

Too expensive to use

Got this and was so excited to use it it worked the first time unplugged and got ready to use today and the power won't even come on. If it actually stayed working I would given it a 5 star review but since it won't even power on I'm giving it a 1 star for effort the first use was amazing and glad I didn't make it to Walmart to buy the flavors and such for it!! I've tried everything looked up videos and how Roa and nothing to fix what ever problem it's having. Disappointed in this machine.
