I lost my 17 yr old son to a gun shot accident, and I pulled away from everyone.  My mom talked about love and how people were always thinking about others  and how she missed me to grief. She heard about these Aurora friendship lamps, and believe me its a gift that keeps on giving. You two get two units one for you and one for you to give to someone. The lamps can be set up thru the exclusive NBG Friendship Connect App so you will need wifi. There is no boundry as to how far off this person lives as the lamp will still work. Plug-in connect to wifi and then you pick a color. That's it. Your lamp will go dark after the set time. To wake your lamp up, simply tap the top of the lamp. Your lamp responds to touch. I am truly grateful for a product  like this it helps when you are missing someone and it puts a smile on everyone's face  when they see the lamp light up. Everyone needs one of these. We have really gotten our money's worth because we use it alot. Mom said if  something happened to our lamps, she would go out and immediately buy us another one, I recommend Aurora Collection Friendship Lamps to everyone thats far away or just around the corner missing someone.

I love this. My son bought this for me today. He took one home with him and I have one. We connected them and the communication is immediate. He lives 2 hours away. It's so cute and it thought full and touching. When you see the lights change you immediately think wow he is thinking of me right now and you get to respond with light. It's great!

It kept saying it could find the first lamp on the wifi so I kept trying over and over then I thought of just trying to set up the second lamp which I did and it worked.  The colors are soothing and it also has a timer that will put it in sleep mode and a fade out option.  Kind of neat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok i really like the AURORA COLLECTION FRIENDSHIP LAMP.  But one thing it was difficult to setup on Bluetooth. I have one to my mother and she loves it keeps us in touch. I love the you can touch ro change the lights very cool. Great lamps to keep in touch with someone far away.

Great idea in theory but one of our lamps is defective. It's super difficult to get it set up, you have to unplug it 100 times and redo the set up process until it will actually connect. Definitely not worth $100.

One lamp stopped working after only one month.  The company could not give me a replacement lamp so I had to have the whole thing refunded and get a whole new set of lamps. 
But my grandkids love this concept!

Love it but it was defective.

If I could give this item ZERO stars I would.  We purchased this item for a Valentine's Day gift thinking it would be a sweet gesture.  The lamps would NEVER connect to the app!  So....they don't work!  When I tried to call the company they are closed due to corona and basically tell you they are SERIOUSLY behind in responding to emails in the recorded message on their answering service.  Therefore there is zero customer service help.  The app states that part of the app will begin working soon. We are extremely disappointed in this purchase. Do not waste your time or money with this set of “friendship lamps.”

Sadly, we cannot use the lamp because setup failed on the second unit. May have to reorder a new pair since one is useless without it's matched pair working properly. Big disappointment for the kids.
