I wear headphones for hours on end each day while writing. I bought and returned five different headphones, including some very expensive ones, and none were truly comfortable until this one. I could not be more delighted.

Great Headphones - worth buying and great price!

so, my wife enjoys watching those telenovelas on her chromebook sitting on the nightstand she needed a new pair of headphones, to replace the cheap old sony that had that ugly plasticky squeeky noise, an d the padding started to fall apart, so I did my research an ordered this EDIFIER H840 my wife wanted it to have a volume control which doesn't come withthis model, so I also ordered one online volume control for less than$5 , anyway,the headphones arrived, and I just couldn't wait to try them out. my setup is a tower PC with a Logitech 3 way speaker system with a headphone Jack, that I've been using with a pair of Koss Porta Pro headphones, that I mention now as comparison. I like music such Alan Parsons Best of instrumentals live. , Dire Straits: Telegraph Road, Live version,Emerson,Lake, And Powell, Touch,AndGo, Latin Quarter: Toulouse, Rainbow: Stargaser,   Rick Wakeman -Just about anything. Conclusion: although the tonal characteristic of the H840 is identical to the PortaPro, both sound nice, however it seems to me that the PortaPro is a bit louder, also, the Koss is smaller, it fits nicely underneath my 19"monitor,when not used,both of them are fairly comfortable, my wife has no complaints about the EDIFIER, if someone offered both the H840 and theKoss for free, I would probably chose the Porta Pro , in the summertime, especially here in the humid New England the foam padding on the Koss feels better, than the leather on the EDIFIER, I hope these lines I wrote will help you to make a good decision on the purchase, take care, music lovers!
