Terminated for inappropriate behavior.

I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.

Nine years. Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.

All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…

Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.

I didn’t think he’d actually respond.

I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.

Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.

Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.

But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.

It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.

Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.

Two wrongs don’t make a right.

But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

Hurray to Keeland for writing yet another story of a rich hero and the poor-but-feisty-heroine (who’s quirky and rude but totally gets away with it because she’s adorbs)! 😬😬

My favorite thing about Vi Keeland’s books is that they always have that steamy and romantic element, but under all that the characters have depth and there is always some kind of emotional undertone. Plus, they’re always amazing to listen to in audio. Inappropriate was no exception. This audiobook was narrated by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt, two of my favorites and they both did a fantastic job.

This story starts off with Ireland Saint James getting unjustly fired from her job as an on-air reporter. She goes right over her bosses head and sends a fiery email to her bosses, bosses, boss to try to get this resolved. Grant Lexington receives this email and he doesn’t know what to do about it at first, but he wants to meet Ireland. Once he does, he’s charmed and enchanted by Ms. Saint James.

I’m always looking for a stand-alone romance that’s good on audio and this one fit that bill perfectly. Keeland always writes steamy scenes and these characters were lovable and their story (especially Grant’s) brought me to tears more than once. I loved how we learned Grant’s story in flashbacks to the past and how everything was resolved. Overall, this was great for me.

If you’re looking for a sweet, sexy and emotional work place romance, pick up Inappropriate!

The heroine gets topless and drunk during a holiday she goes on with her girl friends. Then, a friend posts the video of her on Instagram and tags her. Her boss sees it and she loses her job for indecent exposure. Then, she writes a very rude and insulting e-mail to the owner of the company while drunk. Here it is:

Dear Mr. Jong-un,

I’d like to formally apologize for my minor indiscretion. You see, I hadn’t realized I worked for a dictator. I was under the impression that I had the right to do what I pleased while on my own time. Unlike your silver-spoon ass, I work hard. Therefore, I deserve to blow off some steam once in a while. If that entails getting a little sun on my ta-tas while on a girls-only private vacation, then that’s what I’ll do. I wasn’t breaking any laws. It was a nude beach. I could have gone fully nude, but I just chose to go topless. Because, let’s be real—I have great tits. If you’ve watched the “offending video,” which your uptight human resources director saw fit to provide me on a thumb drive along with a bullshit termination letter, you should consider yourself lucky you got a glimpse of them. You might even consider adding it to your spank bank, perv. I’ve spent more than nine years working my ass off for you and your stupid company. You can both go to hell.

Bite me,
Ireland Saint James

This behavior is a total turn-off for me. I really really do not want to read this woman's story. She is not my type of heroine. She is totally unlikable for me.

Also, later in the book, she gets pregnant and the hero loses his mind because his ex, who had a mental disorder, drowned their baby and it takes some time for him to get used to the idea of having a child again. Yayyy, another couple who is unaware of the notion of protection, obviously! I am sick of unplanned pregnancy issues in romance books. This drama is also something I definitely do not want to read.

”Leaning against the door, it felt like I’d been whiplashed. One minute, I was falling for a great guy, and we couldn’t get enough of each other. The future was so bright. And the next, I needed some time alone to think, and I wondered if we had a future together at all.”

”INAPPROPRIATE”, the latest by Vi Keeland is sure to land on readers’ favorites list. Office romances between the sexy and seemingly unattainable CEO and his employee, never get old! Ireland is unjustly fired from her job over an Instagram post. Her belligerent email written during a drunken stupor, not only sets the course for getting her job back but it also places her on her CEO’s radar. Grant is intrigued by the beautiful woman who holds no punches and tells it like it is. While they try at first to keep things professional, it doesn’t take long for the romance to spark.

Ireland has had her heart broken in the past and she’s not the kind of woman who will willingly risk being placed in that position again. She’s an easily relatable and lovable heroine. Grant has been a confirmed bachelor for many years. His story is a sad one, and it will without a doubt endear him to many readers. Can he let the past go before he irrevocably wrecks his potential future with Ireland?

Here are my overall ratings:

Hero: 5
Heroine: 4.5
Plot: 4.5
Angst: 4
Steam: 4.5
Chemistry Between Hero & Heroine: 5

I keep trying this author books just to see if for once she will change it up. But so far NOPE. Let’s see if it’s and EX thing again. Cause the guy is always hung up on his EX. Maybe it’s the heroine this time. 🤣

Ok I knew it. Same ol thing again. Whyyy???? Change it please. Why is the guy always hung up on his past. He had a ex Lily and they had a daughter Leilani May that his ex killed. Now the heroine is pregnant and he can’t phantom this all over again.

Overall Opinion: This was a cute book. It felt a little like two different books if I'm completely honest though. We had the boss' boss' boss and the employee story and then the damaged man with a tragic past and the woman he can't forget. I felt as though there was a disconnect between the two. I was confused that there was never any issue with the fact that he was her superior and it's like her job was discussed a lot to begin with and a huge part of her life, but then was never discussed again after they got together. I also felt as though some parts were thrown in about the characters but really had no reason other than (maybe) an attempt at making us connect with the characters on a deeper level? For example, the h's past and family life. It was thrown out at the beginning but then never mentioned again. What was the point?! Overall, I felt like it was choppy and it was made up of a bunch of different ideas thrown together but didn't necessarily go together...if that makes sense. I'm going with a middle of the road 3 stars because I'm honestly unsure how to rate this one.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Ireland and Grant's story. Ireland works for a morning news show and gets fired for inappropriate behavior while on a bachelorette vacation. She ends up sending a drunk email to the CEO and Grant ends up getting involved in her situation. What Grant doesn't expect is to not be able to forget Ireland and gives in to his need to pursue her. They have some fun banter, some hot sexy times, some sad secrets revealed...and they get a HEA ending.

Point Of View (POV): This alternated between Ireland and Grant's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No, but they do develop feelings rather quickly.

H (Hero) rating: 4 stars. Grant. I liked him. He had some major baggage that caused him to be the way he was before the h.

h (heroine) rating: 4 stars. Ireland. I liked her. She was sassy, smart, and owned her sexy.

Sadness level: Low/moderate. I shed a few stray tears, but not enough to need tissues.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Hot. They have some hot tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes **big spoilers**

Closure: This has a cute epilogue with what I would call a HEA ending. I still wanted to experience more of their happy, but that's me probably being greedy again.

Safety: This one should be either Safe or Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences.

For years Ireland Saint James built up her career to where she wanted it to be. When she received a letter of termination due to inappropriate behavior, she made sure the company’s owner Grant Lexington knew what exactly she thought of the move. Her boldness not only secured her job back but also his attention.

The premise sounds fun and interesting. It certainly was all that but it was also had unexpected emotional depth.

I enjoyed the story overall especially the emotional parts. Both of them had a difficult past that made them held back, one way or another. It’s a personal preference but I wasn’t a fan of a certain forced situation in the story.

Grant licked his way back up to my clit and then suddenly two of his fingers were pushing inside me. It all became too much, too fast, and he groaned and coaxed me to come in his mouth.

Grant was sexy, but I also loved him whenever he was out of his comfort zone. Ireland was sassy and a go-getter. The forbidden aspect of their relationship definitely heightened their sexual chemistry.

Inappropriate is a story of forgiveness and moving on. It would appeal to readers who enjoy sexy office romance.

Ireland was just fired from her TV News job because of some stupid private video one of her friends posted on her private social media account!

All enraged and angry - and drunk - she sends an email to her boss's boss's boss to tell him what a horrible company he's running.

Grant - said über-boss - is very amused by that email.

And he's very intrigued and interested once he meets Ireland .....

Let the fun times begin!

ADORABLE!!!!

First of all - even though it kinda goes without saying by now with Vi and Pen's books. THE COVER! YummY!

And the story. Just sweet!

I loved it!

It was funny and cute and flirty and sparky.

It was the perfect little romance - it wasn't anything mega-special, it wasn't anything surprisingly new and exciting and plot-twisty. But we love those cute romances! And there definitely was some mystery and some very heartbreaking stuff in here too. And of course we get the expected Vi thing - like in every book. ☺

And it was a bit slow in the middle.

But ... I really loved reading it!

I really liked Grant and Ireland and Grandpa and Mia and all the people. I even cried a lot in those heartbreaking moments!

I wouldn't mind seeing this on Netflix one day!

INAPPROPRIATE was a sweet and funny and heartbreaking love story! ☺ Run to your nearest amazon for your own Grant - this one is MINE!!!! ☺☺☺

I didn't like it a bit. The starting was good but then it went downhill. I am kind of tired of the main male protagonist still not over for his ex type shit. Besides this book takes it to another level. The ex was only mentioned. We see her through the main guy's point of view. She has a mental disorder and this book handles it poorly. I didn't find anything unique about the female protagonist. She got pregnant, the guy loses his mind because his ex drowned their baby before. He takes time to get over it and the end.

Ireland Saint James lives in Los Angeles and works as an on-air reporter/ newscaster for Lexington Industries early morning segment. While away on a week vacation in paradise celebrating her best friend Mia's upcoming wedding she has a little too much fun, and a private video is leaked. When she returns home she suddenly finds herself unemployed. She's terminated, effective immediately for inappropriate behavior. Her career means everything to her, and she knew the news industry wasn't forgiving, but she feels she was wrongly fired. She's angry, and sends a drunken rant to the owner of the station telling him exactly what she thinks of him and his company. 2.5-star **SPOILERS**

Average romance/S chem/detailed S/chars/char dev. Ok emotionality. Even-keeled romance progression. 29yo news-company CEO H and mid-20s news-reporter h's romance started & developed normally. From flirting & H asking her out repeatedly before she finally agreed to dating him and eventually smexxing & staying at each other's places while sharing their big issues/secrets throughout. Their major romance block was both deciding if they wanted to stay together since she wanted to have kids some day while H was adamant about no kids at all. Not even adopting. Around 65%, H told her it's due to the trauma of his baby daughter's death from his mentally-ill 1st wife throwing her into the ocean from their boat deck 7 years ago.

I liked that, despite H's reluctance to have kids, he didn't want to give h up & told her so. Liked how both communicated clearly without game-playing. Both took time from each other to think things through. After 2 weeks of no communication, H sincerely apologized to h & told her he wanted her & their baby. Then, declared his ILY & soon proposed marriage. Liked the epilogue 15 months later when both already married 10 months ago (after H sincerely apologized for not being in contact with h for 2 weeks after she told him she was pregnant) & have a baby boy & h just told H she was preggo again & H happy about it.

Sexual History:
Mid-20s h had a few ex-BFs who tended to be confident & suit-wearing type including her a lawyer she was with but broke things up months ago. She was on the pill & seemed like her standard sex-protection with her other previous lovers. Around 80%, she got pregnant from H, even though she was on birth control & H always wore a condom.

H's first GF & first love was his 14yo foster sister (OW) whom he met when he was also 14yo, when she was placed with his foster family on a temporary basis due to her bio mom's mental illness. H&OW had a secret affair until they got married when both were 21yo. OW got pregnant & her own mental illness became obvious & then worsened when she had their baby girl. About 2-3 months after their daughter was born, OW threw their baby in the ocean & she was sentenced to a psychiatric facility for 25 years. H divorced her right away. He had various lovers in the last 7 years & some he was with for 6 months. He was clear with them that it was for sex only. He broke things off with his last lover (a model) after he met & had already asked h out on a date but h hadn't agreed yet. No emotional attachments until h. He used his apartment merely for sex but he lived in his yacht. When he took h to his apartment after they were already steadily dating, he replaced his mattress and couch for h's sake and told h that his apartment is to be used exclusively for her now.

4 ⭐'s

Ireland and Grant meet when some topless pictures of her get posted on social media and she gets terminated. Not one for letting that stand, she writes a drunken email to the CEO. Luckily, he finds Ireland's bravado quite refreshing and rehires her.

And the more he's around her, the more he wants to be around her. I loved seeing Grant flustered and to the lengths he went. However, as we find out more about his past, the darker things become.

The blurb makes this book seem like a typical Vi Keeland book...fun, sassy and sexy. I was almost going to complain until Vi Keeland pulled the OMG moment...and it wasn't pretty. Don't get me wrong...yes, these things happen in real life but sometimes you really don't want to read about them in your romance book.

Luckily, it was a mere fraction of the book but it does set the bar for what else happens. I loved everything about what happened when Grant started dealing with things. He was really sweet and thoughtful and quite the dirty talker! 😉

I just love how easy it is for me to immerse myself in Vi Keeland's stories! She makes it almost impossible not to fall in love with her characters, and her books always manage to make me laugh, feel the heartache, but also the passion and chemistry between her characters.

Inappropriate is a heartwarming read about love after tragedy, that had me hooked from beginning to end. It's about how a big-shot CEO (a guy named Grant) and one of his employees (news anchor Ireland) unexpectedly falling for each other. The connection between them, as well as the humor, the flirting, the sass and the touching backstories - made it a fun read.

Fair warning: the book also mildly deals with the topic of mental health, but I feel like Vi treated it cautiously and respectfully. I felt very sorry for Grant and I could understand his point of view much better once we get the story of what he went through.

This book is full of laughs and le sexy times, but it's got raw pain too - it's a well crafter mix of both.

Grant and Ireland are my new favorite couple. With every book that Vi Keeland writes, I find a new man to fall in love with, and a new woman I want to be my sister and very best friend. I adored this story, just like I have with every story that comes from this woman. She never disappoints, and is one of my go-to authors that I know without a doubt will hit it out of the park.

Inappropriate starts out with a drunk email written to the CEO in response to a wrongful termination. It’s hilarious and full of righteous indignation, and describes Ireland perfectly. She’s not one to be walked on, speaks her mind, and I couldn’t wait to see what would come out of her mouth next. She was ballsy and fierce, and just the woman to stand up to Grant Lexington, the corporate CEO.

Grant that was actually anything but inappropriate. He was commanding in presence, but measured and considerate. He was controlled and stoic, but lost that fight when it came to Ireland. She pushed his buttons in all of the right ways, and their banter and chemistry was amazing.

What I love about Vi Keeland’s stories is the formula they follow, including Inappropriate. Although it can be terribly hot, there is no insta-love. There is no falling into bed immediately. There is always a slow burn of foreplay that begins with words and continues to smolder. There is always a unique backstory that is surprising and emotional and reveals just how complex the characters are under the surface; a mask that’s in place for the world which hides the reasons for why they do what they do. It’s always a shock, and makes me love the couples that much more for finding their flowers after the rain. There is always a moment when their happy ever after is in jeopardy, but thankfully it was brief and I could put aside my angst and get on with my joy.

Inappropriate was adorable and had it all. It had witty banter, amusing side characters, and a couple that deserved their happy ending.

This starts of like your typical office romance: an employment termination letter and a drunk "fuck-you-and-your-company" email sent to the CEO of the company .
Obviously this grabbed the attention of above mentioned hot, handsome and sexy af Grant which starts a flirty and cute game between him and Ireland.
Usually this type of books are light, sexy reads but the second part of this one had so much more feeling to it.

The chemistry between Grant and Ireland is coming of the pages and I could feel the sexual tension blasting. The love story was lovely and heartwarming , however the bit of drama here was heartbreaking.

I liked how this was told in the present but then we get flashbacks in Grant past so we can understand what really happened.
I was rooting for this two to get a HEA ( even if I knew they would ❤ ). Grant is romantic, a gentleman, caring ,understanding and his dirty mouth and banter with Ireland was very sexy, but he struggles with a lot inside his head and heart , fact that doesn't let him move on and be happy until he overcomes his demons. Ireland is a very good h, she is funny , confident and supportive with H, a very good listener.
I had a smile plastered on my face most of my time reading this and I loved the last chapters so much.

Overall I would recommend this !❤❤

Inappropriate ⭐️

One of my favorite tropes out there is the office romance. I’m a total sucker for a sexy CEO mixing business with pleasure. Vi Keeland just delivered me the perfect story, which I enjoyed immensely.

Let me tell you a little bit about what you can expect. As you might already know by reading the blurb, Ireland Saint James was fired over video posted on Instagram, by her drunk friends while on a girls vacation in Aruba.

Coming home and getting drunk, she writes a way too sincere letter to no other than the CEO of the company. The funny thing is that he replies, so they start exchanging emails, which only makes him more curious about the sassy ex-employee. He gives her her job back (her contract was wrongfully terminated by her direct boss, not the CEO) , but that a spark had already ignited, physical attraction was there since they met by chance in a cafe, so, let the games begin!

The plot might seem nice and easy, but there is a serious part that might break your heart.
I mean i giggled and laughed a lot, but I also happen to cry a few times, which was unexpected.

All in all, this is a classic rom-com, that’s not to be missed!
Vi Keeland will make you feel so good with her characters, their quick wit, dirty talks and slow burn romance. The emotional depth is just a bonus, only to turn this new sexy novel into a great one!

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

Beautiful cover and interesting blurb suggestive of a sexy rom-com
but...……...
And there often is a but with this author...... unfortunately as I do love her writing, storylines not so much.....

A very entertaining audiobook...

****4.5 stars****

Vi Keeland does an amazing job of writing stories that take you from a "workplace romance" to a story that touches on subjects that are deep, thought-provoking and at times heartbreaking. In Inappropriate we are introduced to characters that are intelligent, ambitious and hard-working. They are also two individuals who have risen above their rough beginnings to lead successful and fulfilling careers. I admired both Ireland and Grant and came to love them both individually and together.

This is not a light and fluffy romance but it's not all doom and gloom either. In Vi Keeland style, she manages to bring humour and lightness to the darkest of times.

I absolutely loved the way she made Ireland strong both in her working life and her social life. She wasn't the kind of person to take unnecessary risks. It took her a wee while to assess whether dating her boss was worth the risk. I loved that Ireland stood up to Grant when he was being an egotistical twit and wasn't swayed by his money or good looks.

Grant was such an amazing hero. Sure, he doesn't initially appear all that amazing with his history of unemotional flings. With time and a little deep-diving into his past, we get to the nitty-gritty of why he has chosen to not include his heart in his previous relationships. Grant's past is not pretty and I loved seeing the growth he has made to get to be the man worthy of Ireland's love.

There are some great additional characters in Inappropriate but I especially loved Grant's grandfather. The storyline kept my attention from start to finish and had me desperate to get back to the story whenever it was time to hit pause. The heat factor was off the charts and their connection was obvious. This story was written in a way that it was easy to picture the characters and the settings. I would LOVE to see this one made into a movie.

The audio was fantastic but I expect only the best from Andi Arndt and Sebastian York.

I recommend giving Inappropriate a try if you like your "office romance" to have a little bit of grit, a touch of heartbreak and a fantastic happy ever after in the end.

So the heroine was topless and drunk in a bachelorette party. Someone clicked the videos and her company fires her due to such exposure. And then she drunk writes a letter to the CEO of the company and insults him.

I’m not the fan of the heroine here.
She doesn’t mind that her friend tagged her in such video. She only minds that her company got access to it.
Such kind of nude behaviour is not my thing (I repeat NOT MY THING. Personal preference).
If you don’t mind it then definitely go read this book 👍🏻.

I like reading about strong and sensible women.
Though I have liked books by this author, I’m also aware how she likes humiliating her heroines. So I’m definitely out of this book.

I didn’t like this book at all, I felt that Grant and Ireland had zero chemistry, it somehow felt forced almost. Dialogue between them was often lame. I am disappointed that it didn’t work out for me.

Vi Keeland does it again. I could not get enough of this story. I was mesmerized by it all...did I see where the road was heading? Yes. Did it take away from the story? No. Absolutely NOT. She has mastered the formula of a story going one way and then BAM, u-turn in to Keeland-Ville and I love every fucking second of it. Heart, heat, banter, laughs, this story, like all of her others has it all. I completely devoured Inappropriate and felt it in my heart and soul. Totally loved it. GAH. Thank you.

Dnf 55% ... I tried, dragged it and dragged it but then I said to myself why do I bother.

Lately everything I read feels recycled, and don’t get me wrong sometimes it’s the good kind, every story is plagiarised at the core, either from reality or other stories, but these NA romances are just about the same song and dance.

Male MC was so typical. High powered CEO who:

-has inexplicable attraction to female MC and acts all different around her.
- he is her superior and holds significant power over her career and schedule.
-he has a FWB model girlfriend who is just so shallow but very beautiful and he totally made it clear to her that he only wanted to duck her and nothing else and she’s just the stupid clingy girl who got attached or wanted his money or whatever. He’s a douche. Just cause he acts nice towards the MC and eventually falls for her does not make him a good male specimen.
- pretends to have a moral ground to stand on in matters of gender bias and sexual harassment but then he makes a committee about woman stuff to get the MC to notice him.
- has a dramatic young love story which left him deeply affected.

I’m not gonna go on...

Waste of time.

Give me something real, something new, something that’s worth my time.

"Indecent" este o poveste plină de pasiune și momente tensionate, de emoții ce trec peste cititor asemenea unui tăvălug, clipe erotice extrem de fierbinți, dar și sentimente contradictorii.

Vi & Penelope are the masters of book covers!! Jeez!
