We recommend purchasing an SD/SDHC memory card that is at least Class 4 and no larger than 32GB.  Please note that the AZ401 is not compatible with Micro SD, Micro/Adapter, Ultra, Ultra Plus, Extreme, Extreme Plus, Extreme Pro, or SDXC Cards.

We do recommend using only name brand, top tier AA batteries like Duracell, Energizer or similar for the best performance and battery life. 

You could choose to use rechargeable AA batteries, but again we would recommend sticking with well known, name brands to ensure the longest life between charges.

Thank you for your question.  The KODAK PIXPRO AZ401 Astro Zoom Camera does not come with a USB cable included.  To connect the camera to a computer or other device to transfer photos, you may use a standard Micro-B USB to USB cable.  This type of cable is commonly used to charge Android phones and other devices.  Please note that the AZ401 takes AA batteries which cannot be charged inside the camera, so a cable is not necessary for charging purposes.

I wanted to get a camera to start a hobby of photography like I did as a teen. It's a daunting task to find, read/watch reviews and pick one. this was more than i wanted to spend in general especially after accessories. I saw my nearest Walmart carried this so I went to look hoping to hold which didnt happen but after seeing a few photos especially of the moon from someone with this camera I took the dive. with little experience and just out the box settings im pleased so far. i will include some photos of the moon i took. im sure once i read the manual and set up the quality will be even better. i bought 2 sets of rechargable AA batteries for this and they work no issue. the memory card didn't need formatted it worked right away. I feel better about spending what I did and I'm sure I will get plenty of enjoyment using this for the things I have planned.
