This dish spray is great, but it is very powerful and strong, so be careful when using not to breathe it in or get it directly on your skin. Cleans everything very well and quick though. I have used it on laundry before putting in the washer as well and it's even good for that. Many uses but very drying to skin and does seem to irritate the sinuses if breathing above it, so just a fair warning.

Powerful, So Be Careful

I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could. I have always loved the regular/original “blue” Dawn Powerwash, but I was apprehensive to use it too much because I questioned what exactly was in it? I mean it literally cuts through ANY type of grease or stains within just minutes. It's certainly effective, there is no doubt about it. It's like a breakthrough in tough grease/stain removal! Now that they came out with the free and clear version, i feel so much more comfortable using it on our dishes and for stains in our clothes. As you can clearly see, the bottle is almost empty so I use this stuff daily. I consider this an absolute household must have!

The first time I used this the sprayer took a bit of effort to get detergent out but after that it is really easy to use. The scent is a gentle Dawn smell and it cleans well. Love that it came with a refill bottle. The spray cap can be easily transferred to a new bottle. This review was collected as part of a promotion, and the opinions are my own.

Clean dishes and pots

Thought I had a ruined pan and Dawn spray saved it.  Burnt butter and brown sugar.  It was smoking as I set the pan outside to cool.  Thought for sure it would never all come out.  But it did!  Thank you Dawn!

The sprayer quit working so I can't finish using the product in the original bottler nor the refill.  The St Helens Walmart customer service told me to use a different spray bottle.  That answer is wrong and I'm not impressed.

Sprayer quit working before product was used up

This product misuses the FREE AND CLEAR term which has normally brought comfort and ease to those shopping with fragrance and/or dye allergies. Dawn has sneakily put the label on a WHITE bottle [which usually means Free and Clear] and in tiny letters mentions the pear scent. Not even a large picture of a pear to give a clue from a distance! 

This is not only confusing to customers, but stores as well. I used filters and this product was listed under unscented! You can't blame them. Free and Clear was put there for those with allergies [which the bigger one is fragrances]. This labeling protects customers and prevents liability for a company. Misusing this labeling system and taking advantage of loopholes in said labeling system is also exclusionary. Why didn't you make a version of this product for those with fragrance allergies? 

I was so excited when I saw it, because I have a severe autoimmune disease which also causes lots of pain. So, I was hopeful this product would make washing dishes less painful. What I didn't expect when the delivery box got opened was to smell a chemical pear tree! At first, we didn't know which product was in there that could be the culprit since all were supposed to be safe for me. As it turned out, a leaking bottle of Dawn Platinum 1/2 Free and 1/2 Clear was the cause. I had a severe allergic reaction  Even light scents are a nightmare to a person with fragrance allergies. Pour a lot of poison or add just a dash....either way you added poison to someone's system. 

Over 10 million Americans suffer from Autoimmune diseases and over 23 Million are Immunocompromised and these numbers are fast on the rise. It is very common for those with such conditions to have allergic responses. Fragrance allergies have been a growing issue; hence the Free and Clear labeling system was born.

Dawn cares a lot about wild life. Why would you not care enough about your paying customers to be up front, inclusive and honest? Why not make a third bottle in a prettier pear green shade with the light pear scent? Then you have a safe, liability-free win-win-win :)

People w/ Fragrance Allergies don't use it!

I washed my baking pan with this ONCE and it is destroyed. I'm so upset and disappointed. The product includes no warning and I used as instructed. This is ridiculous.

Stripped the Teflon off my non-stick bakeware!!!

I loved the product until I realized it was causing the irritation and rash in my nose. A bit of research indicates that it is a mucous membrane irritant. Others have experienced the same issue. I stopped using immediately.

Good on dishes, just don't breathe while using.

I've been using dawn power wash since it came out and love it. But the recently changed the scent on the original and it smells HORRIBLE. The scent gives me a headache and makes me nauseous. Why would they change something that was working? Seems like I'm not alone in this either. So many reviews bashing the new scent. PLEASE DAWN! CHANGE THE ORIGINAL FRESH SCENT BACK!!! Attached are 2 photos: the first “fresh scent” one is the old one and the new “fresh clean” scent is the new terrible one. I'm so upset! Won't be purchasing again unless the scent is changed back to the original.

I use to Love this product. The dawn powerwash Freash Scent was Amazing. 
They changed the formula. It now smells terrible, like bug spray and the label has been changed to Freash Clean. Very Disappointed. Why would you change an outstanding product? Will not be buying anymore.
