Works in my hard water area

I have had 1 of these in my dishwasher and one in my washing machine (both items are Zanussi brand) for 8.5 years and seem to work well to keep limescale at bay (i live in a very hard water area). They're estimated to last 5-10 years so i will buy a new duo pack next year. These are quite big, round and solid so there is no way for them to get stuck in the door anywhere near the seal as when the door of the machine is closed it creates a tight seal unable for anything of this size to get in.

been using this for years

My current one is about to fall apart after about 7 years use so will buy another. My previous Bosch washing machine lasted 15 years possibly due to this device. We live in an area with extremely hard water.

Love this!

Ive been using this for two weeks now. Usually my machine would be scaling up by now (I live in a very hard water area and can usually see limescale on the drum and door) but its still shiny and clean! Worth the investment so I dont have to keep buying anti limescale powders and working out the dosage. Not sure about the previous reviewer whose door got wrecked - I have a Bosch and there is no way the ball could get near the rubber seal once the door is closed. In any case there doesnt seem to be anything sharp or rough, the magnets are enclosed in soft rubber.

Excellent

Weve had these for 4 years in our washing machine & dishwasher, theyre brilliant. Weve never had a problem & I dont understand how they wrecked a machine as a previous reviewer stated?

Amazing

Have these in our dishwasher and also the washing machine. Definitely seems to make a difference, no longer a visible build up of calcium in either. Negative review seems a bit odd- this item is fairly large, there’s no way it could get anywhere near the rubber seal in our washing machine, because the door renders the space too small once closed....both our washing machine and dishwasher are Bosch, if that helps anyone reading the reviews! I would recommend this product!

DO NOT BUY THIS BROKE MY MACHINE!!!

This just WRECKED a 2 month old £500 Bosch washing machine seal - got stuck in door during a spin and shredded seal I can't believe it, the whole machine needs an engineer to fix. Do not buy this product. Shouldn't be on sale. Look at the packaging they say no liability for damage done...honestly I'm so upset. Going to contact Ocado to ask them to remove it from sale.
