When the cord on my much-used Cuisinart hand mixer frayed, I replaced it with another. It's easy to adjust speeds and eject the beaters after use. Powerful enough to meet all my baking needs, even stiff batters. A good buy.

The beaters are easy to use and especially to clean, and they work through things like cream cheese without bogging down.

Good product

After using the same hand mixer for 50 years, I decided it was time for a newer model.  This one fit the bill - it's easy to use and lightweight.  Blades pop in and out easily for cleaning.  It's effective and whips up great mashed potatoes.  If this one lasts as long as my last mixer, it will outlive me!

Easy and great to use. Release button is great , the beaters come out fast and easy. , I love my cuisinart mixer. Actually a lot better than my kitchen aid mixer I had before I replaced it with the cuisinart, a lot cheaper too.

Cuisinart 5 Speed Hand Mixer

I had this model for years and LOVED it.  It stopped working so I purchased a Black and Decker.  I sent it back. There was NOT enough power compared to this Cuisinart model. I immediately purchased this Cuisinart..... lesson learned!

I was disappointed that this mixer did not have a lower speed setting.  My first use was creaming butter for a cookie recipe.  The lowest setting was too harsh.  It sent butter flecks flying out of the bowl.  It will definitely handle heavy jobs.  It is definitely a well built, sturdy kitchen tool.

Workhorse

I am another one of those whose decade-old, hand-me-down-from-my-mom hand blenders finally quit. I like my Cuisinart hand blender which is why I thought I would try the company's hand beater.  What I found is that the first speed is not at all low - more medium high which is so disappointing.  When I beat eggs into butter, the room takes a bath in it as a the result.  (Use the steepest bowl you can find.)  The problem is I don't think there is much better out there.  I spent a very long time reading reviews of other blenders and found that the silicon coatings on other beaters shred, that there aren't any "true" low speeds anymore, and that some are much louder (although this model is by no means quiet).  I will keep using it for a while and trust I'll get used to it.

About this about a month ago i bought this mixer and I'm fairly pleased with it.  I do find that this is heavy and a little on the big side. What I don't like about it is, in position 1 it still goes super fast and splatters everything everywhere. One should be slow and then graduate to fast or faster.
