    awesome concept, poor design

First, lets talk about the outside. This thing looks like a serious piece of machinery ... at least compared to our old gas stove that came with our house. We got the stainless version. It's not entirely all that stainless. It does smudge fairly easily like everyone mentions. Not a big deal though. It does clean off with some microfibers. It's just that the smudges are a lot more noticeable than our old white stove. I know. DUH Now let's get in to the meat and potatoes of the stove. Double door seemed like a great idea. I felt if I was cooking a single dish, opening only the top door would be a lot safer / easier if you have a little one running around the house. Well, here's the problem. There are a total of 3 tray positions for the top. The bottom on sits below the top door hinge, so forget being able to slide the tray out to check on your dish. The top tray is just a bit to close to the heat ... let alone leave enough space for say a tray with some chicken or any thicker piece of meat on it. The middle tray was what I used. You can slide it out, till just about where the inward groove of the top door is exposed that is. So basically, you can slide the tray out just about 3 inches. Also, please not it isn't entirely easy to even get your hands with mitts in far enough to pull the tray out. Now, you're saying, why don't I just open the whole darn door? Well, because then what's the point of having a duo flex or two door oven? Even on the middle position, the heat was a big harsh. I used the same temp I used on my last stove and this time it mades things juuuuust a little tooooo crispy for my liking. It could've been the conviction as I'm new to that, but I still feel the middle position is to close to the heat. Now, let's talk about the app. If you ever read the feedback on the app store for iOS, all 27 (and counting) have rated it a 1 star for more or less the same reason. Yep, it constantly loses connection with the server and takes longer than I'd like to reestablish said connection. You can send temp and time instructions to the over ... but then you immediately need to walk over to the oven to accept your instructions that you just sent over. So, what the heck do I need this app for? A timer? Nope. My phone already have a nice enough timer. If anything, I can set multiple timers on my phone without having to worry about the oven turning itself off. I don't know about you, but I like to baste my chicken ... and I don't necessarily do a great job watching the time. Hence the need for multiple timers. So where does this bring me? The regret of buying the more expensive oven. Both features of due flex and wifi were basically the only differences of a version that is less than half the cost of this oven. Yet, both features are seriously flawed. Some good things ... - I did notice the difference of convection. Muuuuch juicer pieces of meat. - it reached the desired temp in about 2 minutes faster than my 10 year old stove - multiple size stove tops are neat ... but if you're a simmer in the front type of guy/girl forget about it or if you're a boil a big pot of water then you'd probably want to stick to the front - it makes neat sounds and has cool lights. The time is a big ol bright blue color that will light up your kitchen at night. There's no need for a night light in the kitchen. - this thing is pretty darn efficient as far as BTU is concerned. Again, I'm not sure if it's the whole convection deal going on, but I cooked my chicken in about 20 minutes less than I usually do and it came out juicier. The great lemon "sauce" I made burned, but it was hard to not acknowledge the juicy chicken under the probably to crispy skin. Would I recommend this particular model? Nope, Save yourself $1000 and just get the single version of this stove. I fell for the "ohhh, new technology (to me) and I have to have the big boy version" itch. Will I like this down the line? Maybe ... but right now I feel like I wasted quite a bit of money on features that don't really work. It's like buying a big fridge that has a built in TV / screen but you're never in the kitchen long enough for it to matter.

    Love my new stove

I am so in love with my new stove.. it is perfect! I love the fact that I can cook at 2 different temps at the same time... I can bake and cook dinner together... so easy to clean.. the stove is great too.. the eyes are different sizes so you can cook a huge pot of something as good and a smaller one.. it even comes with the wok connection.. I’m always using my wok... everything is great! The griddle is so easy.. the oven make my like so much easier.. it’s a life saver!

    Love this range!

A double oven that converts to one large oven? Ingenious!!! This is the best range I have ever owned. The 5 burner stove w/griddle and wok burner is also great. Very versatile efficient appliance. The grates scratch fairly easily but the same was true of my Sears Kenmore. I've had many compliments on this range! We're very satisfied with our purchase.
