- A: AnswerNo, it is not a convection oven. A convection oven circulates air to aid in cooking/baking more evenly. This is simply a Microwave with a Grilling Element (similar to the elements in a regular electric oven). You can use a combination of Microwave and Grilling using the "Combi" button.

- A: AnswerYes, it looks exactly like the kind you'd find in an electric oven, only smaller and on the top like a broiler. If the microwave were on a low countertop and you reached in from a high angle, you could potentially touch it while trying to pull food out. It's worth noting, though, that you have to select one of the cooking modes that uses the grill element for it to be hazardous. Regular microwave cooking in the "default" mode does not activate the heating element. It is, of course, only a button press away, though. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this microwave without supervision.

Big items comes in small packages
I really like the microwave. Considering I did not think about the placement of one while redoing my kitchen. This one fit perfectly in the cabinet under the island. While using it we just leave the door open to vent. I could’ve taken the doors off but considering the cabinet wasn’t made for the microwave it looks better closed ☺️. I haven’t had any issues at all. It cooks really well. I even made a personal pizza and it turned out crispy I was impressed.

Love it so far!
So far so good - I haven't used every function on it and I really like it. It's very roomy and easy to operate. My 80 year old MIL can use it! It's more like an oven inside but it makes it so much easier to clean. And I got an open box and saved a ton of money - if you have this option I highly suggest you do it
