I received this as a gift, and once I washed the cutting board it had a terrible smell.  Has anyone noticed this?

Pioneer woman classic charm 20 piece cutlery set was delivered on time and a nice packaging it includes all the knives you see, some flexible cutting boards and a wood cutting board also a pair of scissors. I like the fact that the blade actually has the flowers on it it looks very different on your counter the hand grips are extremely comfortable to hold for long amounts of times the shieldsKeep your knife sharp while in the drawer. They cut wonderfully even for the price if they are it's a great deal I definitely would highly recommend this set for someone who is just starting out or have their first home it's a beautiful set it has a wood chopping board and it's very beautiful everything has the pioneer woman logo.

Beautiful set

This is truly a charming cutlery set!! Three different colors of knives, scissors, mats *and* a wood cutting boatd are included, which allows for lots of variety when room colors or seasons change--- the different colored sets could even be gifted to 3 different people and each would be a lovely set on its own!

A smorgasbord of cutlery!

The pioneer woman 20-piece classic charm cutlery set is an addition to anyone's kitchen. From the florals, the colors, the dots, the design, everything is perfect. This set is nicely detailed. With this set there are seven knives, all having a different purpose. I am still researching all the knifes. I never had so many varieties of knifes. I know there are two butcher knives, two vegetable knives, and a bread knife, I am not sure what the other knives are for. I don't eat melon, but I think there is a melon knife. They are all very sharp. Each knife has a safety protective cover that slides on the knife blade. The protective cover also protects the non-stick coating blade from being scratched by any other utensils, and possible injury. The handles are nonslip so it easy to grip and it feels comfortable. There is even a butterfly design on the end of each knife. A lot of care and design went into the set. Knives are not the only things in this cutlery set. There is a wooden cutting board, three cutting mats, and a pair of shears. 
 The cutting board is so smooth and just the right size. I didn't want to use in because I thought I would scratch it, and that is where the mats came in handy for me. I put the mat on the cutting board before I started cutting. With the cutting board I can envision many uses. It would make a beautiful display for cheeses or cookies and much more. I guess I will only use it for cutting food, but it is only for my use. The cutting board would not stay nice for long unless the mats are used.
 The mats are the all the same size, but smaller than the cutting board. With this set, each mat is a different color, red, blue, and green, with flowers trimmed on the edges. It is rough on one side and smooth on the other. I do like the different colors for the mats. I can keep vegetable on one mat, and meat on the other, and no cross contamination that way. After I was finished cutting, I simply rolled the mat a little to empty he contents in the bowl. This allowed all the vegetables I cut to go into the bowl and not on the counter. The mats make my job so much easier. This set wouldn't be complete without the pair of shears. 
 The shears are red for this set. After holding them I could tell that they were sturdy and will do the job. These shears will only be used for preparing food in the kitchen. They are off use for paper, tape, and my husband. I don't like cutting scullions up but with the shears it made it a breeze. Snip, snip, snip, and I had small pieces. It cuts romaine lettuce up in thin slices too. I had my salad fixed in no time. Like the knives, it has its' own protective cover. This protects the shears, yourself and from being scratched by other utensils. So don't be afraid to store them in a drawer. As with the shears, the mats, and the cutting board, all of them have care instructions if you want them to remain nice. 
 The set is to be hand washed only, and, use mild soap with warm water. Rinse then, dry immediately dry. It recommends not to soak any of knives, sheers, or cutting board. The mat is to be to be hand washed as well. I don't mind hand washing any of the items because it with protect the finish. This product has it all, the durability, the quality, and design. The only downfall about this product is how do I store them away from my husband? 
 I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Beautiful Yet Sharp

This is a nice cutlery set for daily home cooking. I've used professional knives in the past and was pleasantly surprised with this set. Don't let the design fool you. These knives are sharp and can slice an orange quite thin easily. The handles are made of a comfortable material and easy to grip. Each knife comes with a matching cover. I've never really used the flexible cutting mats before but I will definitely in the future. One side is textured so it doesn't slip around on the counter. Everything is easy to clean but like any knife or cutting board is best washed and dried before putting away in order to extend the life of the product. These are not dishwasher safe.

Pleasantly surprised

The wildflower whimsy cutlery set is so cute, it just cheers me up while I'm cooking. The cutting board has a nice size plus it comes with 3 cutting mats that you can use over the cutting board and switch them as you cut different types of food. I never had a set like this before so I'm loving the new system, plus the cutting mats are flexible and easy to pick up and pour the chopped up food wherever you need it.
The knives are beautiful, very sturdy, good weight but not too heavy. They are very sharp, you really need to be careful with them. I sliced a tomato for sandwiches with the chef knife and it cut through it like butter, I was very impressed. The blade guards are great too, a much safer way to store the knives plus they're also super pretty.
Overall I love this set, the only thing I'm not too crazy about is that none of it is dishwasher safe so everything had to be hand wash, but I suppose that's the standard for most good quality knives and cutting boards. The set even comes with very nice kitchen shears. I would recommend this set to anyone.

Super cute cutlery set!

This beautiful made 20 piece cutlery knife set is everything I dreamed of, I love how they are beautifully made. I love the flowery design it is very eye catching to brighten anybodies kitchen. It has all the knives you need, from a fillet knife to a paring knife. It has all the basic knives you need, It comes with the a nice pair of shears for cutting, also it has a nice wooden cutting board and 3 plastic boards. I love using the plastic more than a wooden as, with plastic it is easier to clean and not have to worry about the different meats and veggies getting deep in the board to wear it is hard to clean. The plastic I marked each one as one for vegetables, pork/chicken and beef. I don't like my pork and chicken mixed with my beef meats even though you can clean them really good. Also each knife and the shears comes with a plastic holder to keep your knives nice and clean. Cleaning is a breeze clean them with soap and water and dry immediately if not doing so, can cause the knives to become dull along with the shears. Do not dishwash as they are nor dishwasher safe. Over all I am in love I got these free in connection for my honest opinion. Also, each knife and board has the works pioneer woman. And, I am in love.

I love everything in this set! Knives work very well. I have used them for cutting everything from tomatoes and watermelons. The cutting boards work well too and the small ones are easy to store. I also love the look. I like the designs and color on everything.

Great set!

I've used some of the knives and really surprised how sharp the blades are. I'm not a chef so learning which knife to use for a vegetable or meat was important. I cut onions, potatoes, tomatoes, french bread loaf, roast, and chicken so far. The floral design on each blade is so pretty and worth keeping them out on display. The cutting board is beautiful too. Just make sure to hand wash the knives and board. There's a limited lifetime warranty too. This set would make a wonderful holiday gift for someone!

Charming cutlery

I am not a person that typically writes reviews about the items I purchase but this item is the exception to the rule. I have been looking for a knife set that is not only sharp but being able to use every knife in the set and remaining sharp longer then a week. I have purchased so many sets that I can only use 1 or two knives out of the set. I can truthfully say I am using every knife in this set. With the set you receive a Beautiful Cutting board made of Acacia. The grain detail makes the board pretty enough to use for a cheese boards or a regular chopping board. The knives come with safety covers to protect the blades. Each handle is comfortable and has a non slip grip. There is a gorgeous butterfly on each handle and a unique design on each blade. There is a knife for every job in this set. There is a pair of shears that also comes with a protective cover. The scissors are sharp and also has a small place to help open bottles in between the handles. It is best to wash the items in this set by hand and dry afterwards to keep your set looking like new. There are 3 cutting mats included. They are different colors to keep from cross contamination. I use the red mat for meats, the green for veggies and the blue for cheeses. Each mat had a non slip backing to keep your mat in place while cutting. I use a piece of this set on a daily basis. I use the mats on my cutting board to keep my board beautiful and to keep it germ free. This set would make great gifts for a new home or a holiday gift. I know I have recommended this set to all my family and friends. I purchased a set for both my sons families as gifts. I would buy this set again and again.

Stunning knives & Beautiful Cutting Board & Mats

I love the knives & sheaths best. The patterns are cheery & fun and with the different colors, it makes it easy to put the proper sheath with it's knife. I'm not crazy about the color of the mats but that's OK because they'll just get thrashed over time anyway. I do love that the mats are nice & small and take up very little space. They also have a sort of rubbery backing that makes them less likely to slip around on the counter. The knives are nice & sharp! The small cutting board is also ideal for small spaces. I rarely need a larger cutting surface. This set would be perfect for either someone just starting out; a new home gift; a gift for someone who really needs an upgrade. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because some people will find it a drawback that none of these items should go in the dishwasher. All hand wash items. Not a problem for me as I don't like putting my sharp knives in the dishwasher anyway. I think I once read that it's a bad idea to put sharp knives in the dishwasher, not sure why! At any rate, they are undeniably cute!

Wonderful Gift Idea!

Very disappointed! If I bought this in store it would have came with a nice package. I seen it. But I bought it online and it's just in a brown box. Nothing nice about it. Im gonna have to make a basket out of it or something. Because I open the regular brown box and everything fell out.
