Amazingly fast and stable drive. I cloned my old PCs C-drive to this one and then used this as the new boot drive. WOW, the entire rig booted up in 6 seconds. No issues at all. The system runs more stable than ever.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second purchase of these 870 EVO SSDs.  My PC would hang up sometimes with my older PNY SSDs. I did an image backup and restored the image to these 870 EVOs and the hangup problem was solved.

I replaced the original hard drive in my Dell Studio XPS laptop with this SSD   It used to take way too long to start up and now everything is much faster.  (Unfortunately, neither CPU nor RAM can be easily upgraded.)  I also took this opportunity to replace Windows 7 (no longer supported by Microsoft) with a fresh install of Windows 10 and strongly recommend that approach.

The only issue with this SSD in my system is that the original hard drive had tabs allowing it to be screwed securely to the chassis.  The SSD fits in the slot but it moves around a bit.  If I were going to take this laptop out of the house, I would wedge the SSD more securely.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love samsung, always top tier quality. I work in telecom and sell the phones, which I use personally as well. From my phone, tv and to the storage in my computer samsung is always my choice. Being My most used daily items, I trust samsung and believe in the quality product. Never had an issue, requires no maintenance, works straight out the box and will last you years. It goes without saying samsung is top of the game and leagues above anyone else and will remain my first and last choice always.

the item was sent without any bubble wrap, it came shaking inside the box. They sent a huge box and a medium box for something so small. But there were no flaws and it is working perfectly. I will give 4 stars for the exaggerators of the boxes and without the due protection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I'm very happy with this drive but... it's not performing as advertised. This could be because of my system maybe? (All drivers updated)This drive is rated for 560 Mbs read & 530 Mbs write, but I'm getting 551 Mbs read & 496 Mbs write. Not to mention the IOPS are extremely low compared to what's documented (like 70000 below), but overall is been functional properly(not including speed). I've only owned this drive for like 2 weeks, so a review this early seems premature & has no relevance to long-term use. So do what you will, with this info.

It's fast but...

After 18 months, I've got 258 bad sectors. I got up today, thought something was awry with my PC. I was going to clone the Samsung to another branded SSD, and my computer started printing AAAAAA all over the screen. That was when I knew something was crazy. I did manage to get it cloned, although, it took forever, thanks to the bad sectors. After I got done cloning, I left the Samsung 870-EVO in place, and did the surface test. I could not believe my eyes. I probably would have left 3 stars, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out, how to send this into Samsung for warranty replacement. I has warranty until 2026, but how do I go about getting in to Samsung for replacement. I'm sure I need an RMA number. Any help would be great.
