These boots are lovely. I purchased them as an alternative rain boot to tall wellies, which often feel like overkill unless it's a downpour. I have narrow, flat feet and no issues getting them on. They run true to size for me. I'm a 7 in Converse, 8.5 in running shoes, and 7.5 in these. One thing I want to point out is that the versions with matte rubber (there's a navy and a brown) are lined in Thinsulate, while the versions with shiny rubber are not. I ordered the matte navy because I preferred the look, but had to exchange because I want to wear them year-round. The Thinsulate version was VERY warm and would be a great option for winter wear. In person, I found that the shiny version was less shiny than it appears on the screen, so I'm very happy with the look. These are a nice between-height boot for those who find the 6" LL Bean boots too short and the 8" LL Bean boots too tall.

I got an older version of this boot 3 to 4 years ago and they were phenomenal. I wore them through 2 winters of tough Chicago weather and they stood up remarkably against the snow and cold. This year I decided to get a new pair of them after loving the last pair so much. They have changed the design somewhat since I last bought them but this time not a fan. The zipper makes it so you cannot adjust the fit of the boots very much. Snow gets in over the edges due to the loose opening around the ankle. After one time wearing them in a couple inches they were full of snow. Despite getting the same size as last time, I am not able to wear thicker socks with these. I would not buy this boot again.

Don't buy these shoes.
Don't buy these shoes if you want a cute boot to wear in the rain. These shoes are kind of attractive, but not as cute as in the photograph. They still look bulky in person and look like more of a utility shoe than a fashion shoe -- you can get cuter wellies for $30.
Don't buy these shoes if you want to walk in the rain. First of all, the shoe lace will not stay tied so if you want to tighten the top part of the boot -- forget about it. These shoes also cause blisters. I wore them two days for a total of a 5 miles of walking and had blisters on the sides of my feet. I have not gotten blisters from shoes in years and do not have especially wide feet! It was very unfortunate that I could not tell they would cause blisters when I tried them and now cannot return them. When you try them you might think they are somewhat comfortable because there is a lot of space in the shoe, but that actually causes your foot to move more and cause friction that causes blisters.

Love Sperry! I typically wear a 7 1/2 - 8 in shoes. Closer to a 7 1/2. I own 2 pairs of the Sperry Saltwater boots. My gray ones are a size 6 and my navy/brown ones are a 7. So I have to say, they run big!

I was surprised by how comfortable these are. I've had L.L. Bean boots for 20 years and decided to replace them this year. I ordered a new pair of bean boots and a pair of the sperrys to see which I liked the best. The sperrys won, hands down. They are easier to put on, significantly more comfortable, and they have a more updated look. I sent the bean boots back and even ordered a pair of sperrys for my daughter.
