Yoon Ahn Shares On-Foot Look of an AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High "Chicago" Colorway
Sadly, it’s likely that these won’t be releasing to the public.
Yoon Ahn has taken the opportunity to share what appears to be an AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Chicago”-inspired colorway.
Unlike the most recently unveiled “Cosmic Fuchsia” makeup, this iteration trades out the vibrant and monochromatic motif for a palette that is more so rooted in heritage more than anything. Snapped for the ‘gram, the kicks are an obvious tribute to the ever-famous Air Jordan 1 High “Chicago”, and successfully translate its outfit through the same trio of Bulls-inspired colors.
Full leather uppers alternate between that of crispy white which floods the toe boxes, quarter paneling, tongues and ankle collars, and “University Red” which takes care of covering the overlays and added lower heel counter. Furthermore, the AMBUSH-branded tongue tabs and bike pipe-inspired Swooshes which protrude past the heel appropriately contrast with black hues.
Down under, the midsoles have been coated with an off-white tint in order to effectively give off that favored vintage aesthetic, while the outsoles are dyed to match that of the aforementioned overlays.
Included in Ahn’s IG caption is “NFS” (short for “Not For Sale”) essentially indicating that it is unlikely that these will officially release to the public.
Elsewhere in sneaker news, Dunk Lows are set to arrive on the Nike By You platform.
