Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ruined my weekend. I bought it some time ago to do replace baseboards and casing in one room, so i bragged to my wife so much about how easy and fast it was to use it, and I told her it's barely leaving any holes to fill up with wood filler, so I just painted over the holes and it was not visible, I also told her that it has an automatic feature you can just hold the trigger and keep nailing and it's really quiet no need hoses and no Need loud compressor. so she gave me the look with a lifted eyebrow and said, well since you bought it and bragging how easy and fast it does the job, you better replace all the baseboards and casings in the house. DO NOT TELL YOUR WIFE THAT SOMETHING IS EASY TO DO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work consistently I'm a DIY hobbyist and purchased this for various projects. When it works it's good but more often than not it either jams or just doesn't fire the nails. This has been a consistent issue since I purchased it and now it just makes the sound of being about to fire the nails but nothing comes out. As I've had more issues with it not working more than it does I wish I'd purchased another unit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but misses more and more frequently I love the portability of this nailer and how it drives the nails at a consistent depth every time it actually drives a nail. It started out working flawlessly putting up wood panelling for the first week or so. Now when I go to drive the first nail, it seems to miss. When it first started doing this, it would miss on the first nail and then work well for the rest of the day. Progressively it's been getting worse, now missing several nails off the start and intermittent misses throughout the day. I've been working with this nailer for about 6 weeks on our DIY project. I would definitely not want to be using this on a contract job.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Tool, Disappointing Durability Used this brad nailer for a few hundre nails and it worked very well. It has plenty of power and can drive up to 2" brads with ease. It's not too heavy and the battery lasts surprisingly long. Suddenly it started misfiring about every other nail and now it will only fire one in 5-10. Seems several others have had this problem as well. Very frustrating when in the middle of a project. Unfortunately just past the warranty period too. Have lots of experience with Ryobi 18v tools and luckily this type of problem is an exception. Still highly recommend the brand.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good machine, fragile tip, unaffordable repair Bought this machine a couple of months ago. It works well, drives 2" nails, no problem and a single charge lasts a long time. However, it fell off a stool ... barely a foot off the ground and the tip broke off. Trying to find the replacement part and have been able to get through only to the US service center so far. It seems the only option is to replace the full magazine assembly. That will cost as much as a brand new machine. Why wouldn't Ryobi sell just the tip part (not talking about the pad), given how fragile it is? Buy only if you are 100% sure that you will never drop it! I now have a very expensive paperweight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Right out of the box and first pull, miss fired ! After debating within myself thinking Rigid, Senco , Dewalt, nah . I ll try the Ryobi with the hype its getting. I buy the charger, I buy 2 batteries and then the gun , close to 350$ Head over to the site. This is a treat, no 75 lb porter cable jobber, air hose. Just the mitre saw. First thing, double french door and case from scratch. Ahh you , miss firing. Read its the glue on the nail.. well the first miss fire didnt have a nail through it yet. I ll return it all tomorrow and try the rigid. More hype then good. I am an old pro at it and for the price. Value isnt there.. nice color Ryobi and one day , maybe its green on the sites, till then pumkin orange or red.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't drive brads any more!!! I bought this in August to install some trim. It fires about 6 nails and then quit. A firing noise happened but no nail came out. I cleaned and oiled the drive area and it started up again, but still with a few non-fires. I finished the job and put it away for the winter. Now the danged thing is doing it again. I fired about 12 nails and again it quit. I cleaned it, oiled it etc.....nope.....no nails :-P Save your money and buy a more reliable nailer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply awesome! Just finished using this to install a 3/4 inch oak hardwood floor and trim. Although I used a flooring nailer for most of the floor boards, this was used to nail down the rows at the ends where the regular floor nailer wouldn’t fit. It was simply awesome! Every 2 inch nail was fired perfectly through the solid oak and set just slightly below the surface. I then used this to make short work of all the floor board trim. Did the entire job, a 16x12 foot room on less than one battery. Never a misfire. Very happy with this purchase. A huge time saver. We have so many tools from this Ryobi product line and have been happy with every one of them since we started buying them 8 years ago.

Would this be powerful enough to use on 1/2" hardwood? planning to use it to make shelves/draws, would be good if it could manage 3/4" but 1/2" is a must.

Asked by: Josh
not sure as I have only used the gun for mouldings, and it has been great. I would suggest to take a piece of hardwood to your local home depot and ask to use the display model to see if it will work for the hardwood.

In the description of this nailer it states that it can use nails ranging from 5/8 to 2 inches, but then in the specs is says max fastener length is 1 inch. Which is correct?

Asked by: daddio
that threw me off too, but the gun does take brad nails up to 2".

What is the difference between the P318 and this one (p320) ?

Asked by: Doumbret
Hi Doumbret, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the 18V ONE+ AirStrike 18-Gauge Cordless Brad Nailer. The P318 is a 23-Gauge Pin Nailer which drives 1/2 in. to 1-3/8 in. 23-Gauge pin nails. The P320 is a 18-Gauge Brad Nailer which drives 5/8 in. to 2 in. 18-Gauge brad nails. The Pin Nailer will leave little to no marks on the work and requires no filling, but the Brad Nailer offers better holding strength. For further information, please contact RYOBI Customer Support at 1-800-525-2579. Thanks, RYOBI Canada Team.
