IAV Cycling Dynamics
Assioma supports the advanced metrics IAV Cycling Dynamics: IAV Power Phase and IAV Rider Position. These metrics, combined with the classic power data, allow analyzing in details the pedaling technique and how the cyclist’s position on the bike influences performances.
IAV Power and gyroscope
Unlike others, the measurements of Assioma are not affected by errors related to very irregular pedaling (eg. sprint uphill) or the use of oval chainrings. This is because Assioma is able to detect the actual instantaneous angular velocity of the pedal stroke, thus giving you the degree of accuracy of ±1% in any situation. Not only in the laboratory.
Bluetooth and ANT+
Assioma communicates via Bluetooth and ANT+ with bike computers and smartphones, both Android and iOS.
Real dual-sided power data
The Assioma power sensors are placed on the pedals, exactly where the cyclist’s force is applied, this ensures an accurate data collection not only of the total power but also of the L/R power balance, the Torque Efficiency, the Pedal Smoothness, etc. The L/R power balance data by Assioma are not based on estimates but on real measurements: taken individually on both the left and the right side.
Accuracy and consistency
Assioma provides accurate watt measurements with a great consistency and stability in the actual on-road use conditions and at any temperature between -10°C and 60°C. Thanks to the ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation) too.
Waterproof, resistant and light
Assioma is the lightest and most compact pedal-based power meter: with no protruding elements, it does not interfere with the pedalling. Not even when cornering. The power sensors are protected in a bi-component resin block, extremely resistant to shocks and fully waterproof.
Rechargeable and sustainable
Assioma is the only pedal-based power meter with integrated rechargeable batteries; a single charge ensures 50 hours of use at least. The supplied charger allows you to charge the power meters simultaneously without uninstalling, thanks to the two-meter long USB cable with magnetic power connectors.

Each part of Assioma has been designed by Favero Electronics and has undergone strict control tests (load, shock, fatigue, wear, water resistance, electrical safety, etc.) fully satisfying the standards required by current regulations. App Assioma and compatibility with other apps
With the Assioma app, you can easily update the firmware, perform manual zeroing, check the battery charge level, customize stand-by times, set up travel mode, and much more... I ordered these through Bikeinn and chose FPD (a rather expensive option). However, the delivery was tracked and prompt. The product is easy to set up with the app. It was relatively simple to connect to them with my Garmin edge 1030 and I have a whole host of Edge screens on power etc. A beautiful experience and my cycling is improving by maintaining average power rather than speed.

Pedals are incredible. I'm a Look pedal rider, so these were my main choice or else I'd have to switch out a lot of bikes. The built-in battery is nice, I thought I'd hate the charging process but it's not that big of a deal. I have to do the same with my Di2, so I just do it all at once and call it done. Provided charge cords are plenty long enough to do it in the garage. Pedals function perfectly, good click in and out, no issues. Power reading is as expected, nice and consistent. I don't need accuracy as much as I need consistent, and these are great. I can throw my bike on a trainer, inside, outside, hot, cold, and I know my power readings are matching the conditions. Weight is fine for a pair of pedals, I don't care much anyway unless they were total bricks. They are far from it. Price seems high/reasonable range for what you are getting, plus you can pretty easily take these off and throw onto another bike if you do need to share. I don't do that, I just didn't want a crank based power meter and these are technically cheaper and give more data. I do like seeing my pedal stroke nuances. Had them in bad weather a couple times, and I mean BAD, heavy rains and all of it. Came home, washed the bike off later that day, relubed them with some dry lube, and no issue to report. If they are in your budget, give them a try, they're really great pedals.

I love the pedals. For the price (650) I'm super happy with the quality and quantity of data I can extract from it. The fact that it works with Look Keo fasteners was also a plus because I avoided having to buy new fasteners. I no longer have a cadence sensor since the pedals give power per side and pedaling cadence. One less battery to always be changed. The advantage of pedals is that now I can even use them on the road bike and the touring bike that I use to commute.

Italian brand, unlike the garmin, the potentiometer being attached to the connecting rod is protected in falls and lighter without the use of a battery. Enough batteries. I just hope that the useful life of the rechargeable batteries is not with programmed drowsiness.

These installed easily for me. Mild pain point to install an app to enable the device, but no big deal. I'm using a Garmin 830, which is where you have to specify the crank length if it's not the default size (i think 175mm?), mine are 165mm. If your computer doesn't allow crank length spec, you can specify it from the app. Overall the power numbers look as accurate as DC Rainmaker says, which is very accurate, though i will say the peak is getting slightly higher than on my Elite Drivo indoor trainer. The charger connector attaches easily, but you have to have a plug near your bike or an extension cord. Cadence works well and glad to get rid of spoke magnet. I didn't use the spacer washer on Shimano 105 R7000 cranks, even though the the gap is fairly narrow, maybe 1mm or slightly less, they still work fine. Maybe on a mtn bike that get's dirt/crud around pedal i would consider washer. Overall very happy, i don't notice the slight extra weight compared to my Look Keos, and definitely glad a paid more and got the Duo, because now i can see my right/left biases and am working on that. The only downside is my legs are bit tired, seeing my power numbers makes me push harder :)

The perfect pedal Training with pier is the only way, heart rate can and is effective but only to a point. Too many external factors can influence heart rate whereas power will always be what power is. Works perfectly with look keo.

They are accurate with a good battery life. I have no idea how long the battery lasts. Each time I suspect it might be about time, they are still well over 50%. Their app isn’t crazy sophisticated by any means but gives just what you need to maintain them. Shipping to the states takes a bit, but that’s to be expected. Easily pairs with my Garmin and provides almost everything the Garmin meters provide. I believe platform offset is the only metric missing. Hopefully someone can correct me if I’m mistaken.
