The ultimate first cleanse, this sorbet-soft balm is designed to be massaged into skin - pause to appreciate the sensorial notes of rosemary, persimmon and grapefruit - to easily melt away oil-based impurities. It's crafted from a luxurious blend of lightweight plant oils including sea buckthorn oil (adored for its abundance of fatty acids such as stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, and omega 6); olive oil (a nourishing antioxidant that boasts anti-inflammatory properties and supports your skin barrier); finally, grapeseed oil (an antioxidant-rich emollient that nourishes as it gently lifts impurities - cue round of applause). It doesn't end with that holy trinity of oils though - it's also laced with persimmon extract to protect your skin from free radicals and promote a brighter tone, plus vitamin E to promote a healthy, youthful finish. We're so glad we met this formula...
For the first step of your double cleanse, use the spatula to scoop a dime-sized amount onto dry skin and gently massage in circular motions. Add a splash of warm water to emulsify and remove oil-based impurities. Rinse thoroughly before moving to step two, a water-based cleanse with the Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel.

I really do love this. Yummy fruity scent (but don't be tempted to eat it!), and removes all makeup and dirt at the end of the day. Leaves skin feeling smooth and soft after use, and clean! It's also been lasting me for ages because you only need to use a little amount, and the little applicator stick is a nice bonus.

New daily balm cleanser
I received this in one of the CB edits and it has now replaced my elemis cleansing balm which i have been using for years, love the scent and my skin feels great after using. Removes makeup well

I received this in the Cult Beauty Christmas Skin Care Edit 2023. I use it as a first cleanse and found it to be very average as it doesn't take off my mascara. I don't use waterproof mascara. Not something I would repurchase

So expensive for what it is and it left quite a thick film on my skin unlike other oil-based cleansers. Didn’t deep clean my skin at all. Don’t reccommend.Â
