Perfect cool weather pants

Great cool weather pants for serious athletes and backpackers. Exceptional material quality and fitment. Fit me exactly as I hoped. It is a slimmer pant but good stretch. Seems durable and water resistant. Pockets dont offer much room but you shouldnt be loading your pockets with bulky items when mountaineering/skate skiing or backpacking. They widen at the bottom to accomodate boots. Not for running shoes.

Perfect for winter adventures

One of my best winter pants. It’s just perfect for cold, wet and freezing weathers.

Chockstone Alpine

Good quality pants but may want to size up in the waist. Seems a little too tight and long

Beware of the zipper on the side.

Love the Alpine Pant minus the zipper on the sides. It been scratching my leg. If I wore thermals or leggings I might not feel it scratching my leg.

They don't make 'em like they used to!

I own a ton of MH stuff. Good outdoor gear usually. The older style chockstone is all i wear at work. I work outside all year as a carpenter. Good: material is stout but flexible. Pocket liners are a nice mesh. Old style clip belt works well usually (more on that) Bad: front pocket zippers (both) zipped themselves right off the track within 2 weeks. Front pockets are anemic. Good for receipts and that's it. Not a big deal though. Side pocket no longer fits a cell phone No rear pocket. Belt loop is one continuous sheath. Belt comes out every time In the wash. It's quite a process to get it back in. I miss the old style chockstone with zipper back pocket and Clip Belt.

Great pants, recommend

Awesome pants. These were a warranty replacement. Love the feel and they appear to be good quality. Will see how they hold up.

Redesigned to save money

I used the previous model for a few years and loved them. Bought the latest edition and it leaves much to be desired. The pant material was changed, much thinner than before. The angle of entry for hip pockets is too high so you can't put your hand in with a hip belt on. The size of the pockets are so small now I can barely get a full ungloved hand in. One pocket I couldn't get my palm in. They got rid of the thigh pockets altogether. The cuff extender was shortened so I can get them over my ski boots. The crampon guard was removed so an tap from a point will make a nice big cut.

Nic pants

I was apprehensive to purchase these pants after reading the reviews but after wearing them for a few weeks, they’re awesome. The fit is perfect. I’ve had other MH pants and they’ve always held up well and last forever, I’m hoping for more of the same out of these!

Comfortable but poor quality

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The pant is very comfortable for walking and climbing. I thought I was to rough with it going through bushes, but I realized that the crotch also got in very bad state. So is not my fault! The pant have two materials one is very strong and the other is two soft... And it got fuzzball all over. It fitz big. I bought and M and I think the S will fit better.
