Multi-award-winning author of more than twenty best-selling Regency Historical Romances, Donna Hatch is a hopeful romantic and an adventurer at heart. Each book she writes is filled with wit and heart and plenty of swoon-worthy romance. Donna sings, plays the harp, and loves to ballroom dance. Her family, including six children and two cats, recently left their native Arizona for the Pacific coast of the US. No matter where they live, she and her husband of over twenty years are proof that there truly is a happily ever after.
Surprised but honored to be the first reviewer of such a sweet, achingly romantic story! I admittedly consider myself a connoisseur of romances between ghosts and mortals, and this one hits all the sweet spots. It's melancholic but so, so satisfying, and I literally could not put it down till I finished it in one sitting. A perfect October read 🧡🎃
This captivating love story is so beautifully written, like a poem without the rhyme. It reminded me so much of the movie "Somewhere in Time," except that it takes place in Regency England and has a happy ending, two pluses in my opinion! Artistic descriptions and skillfully crafted sensory elements fill the pages and help paint a tender and passionate love story. I found it hard to put down. It seems intended to fit in well with the tradition of All Hallow's Eve. Ms. Hatch uses a varied and colorful palette to bring the story to life and her characters are deep and rich in their thoughts and feelings. Well done, Ms. Hatch. Very well done indeed!
Just finished ‘A Ghost of a Chance’ by Donna Hatch. I don’t really like spooky but I do love anything by this author and this book was no exception. It was a sweet love story and really not spooky at all. If Hallmark made Halloween movies…this story would be perfect for it.
This was a cute story to read around Halloween. Unfortunately I was sick and just recently was able to read it. It is not your typical ghost story and that's what I liked about it.
