Very fun game, it looks great with the 4k 60 upgrade. Interesting how it feels like a playable Steven King film. Great price.

This was one of my favorite games to play on PC when I was a kid so as soon as I saw that it was coming out I rushed to preorder it. It was like I was taken back. Loved every second of the remaster and the 2 DLCs included. Can't wait for Alan Wake 2

It finally made it's way to the Playstation. Alan Wake Remastered is an excellent story driven survival horror game that expands beyond just the title and dlc but is part of a larger universe that is shown in Control and Quantum Break.
First lets talk about controls. Do not expect ANY of the PS5 controller features to be present, they're not. It controls like a better version of the tank controls from Resident Evil 1, they're not great but also could be a lot worse.
Graphics: A big step up from it's XBox 360 days. Again do not expect next-gen graphics here. This is an older game redone for the playstation. But still Bright Falls looks amazing here.
Gameplay: The game is mostly dodge - shoot - dodge. There aren't really any puzzles to speak of. It's not open world and is very linear. I hate repeating myself here but remember this is an older title redone.
Story: Not to spoil anything for those that haven't tried the game. The story here is what sets this game apart from many others. The main story is very intriguing and if you take the time to listen to it, it will draw you in. The side stories here again, take a few moments and really pay attention. The game is less speed run and more "Interactive Movie/Book".
Replay Factor: It has some but not a whole lot to be honest. Once you platinum the game running through it again doesn't feel the same. Personally I played it on the 360 and loved it. Picked it up for the PS5 because well my 360 ended up in the trash years ago. I loved playing it again, but I knew the story going through it so some of that got lost along the way. But with that said, this is one of those games you can pick up during halloween and play at night with the lights off to give it a bigger creep factor. If you stick to just the main story you can get through a good portion of it in several hours.
Overall: Yes I gave the game 5 stars. That rating is JUST for the game. I would give the developers 2 stars for their attitude with fans and the choices they made. For those that don't know, they forced gamers to buy Control Ultimate Edition to get the PS5 upgraded version even if they bought it for the PS4 prior. So gamers spent $60+ on Control to be told pay $70 for the bigger version to get the updated game for the PS5.
Any how, if you love a good story and simple combat controls....this game is a must buy.

Great game. Intriguing story, easy to learn controls, graphics are slightly improved from the original, controls aren’t as clunky as the original either. For the price it’s a great deal bc you get the original game in full along with all the DLC as well. Worth buying for sure.

I played this game a decade ago on the Xbox 360, and was excited to revisit it with this new remaster. There are aspects of the game that are clearly dated, but it still holds up with fun gameplay and an interesting story. With the price point being so low, adding this classic game to your library should be a no-brainer!

Alan Wake is an absolute masterpiece of art design, atmosphere, and originality. The story is better if you follow through the eyes of Alan Wake himself. The game has a fluid progression system as you strive to solve the disappearance of your wife. The creatures you encounter throughout this game are well thought out, and are especially great when you play on the higher difficulties. As the game relies on eliminating enemies with only light, and the weapons at your disposal, this creates an atmosphere like no other.
