I found that it does wobble some, I don't know if you can get this type of hoop that won't wobble. Might want to try the kind that goes in the ground instead.

No it does not wobble. It is very sturdy. I have the base filled with water.

It says in the directions, but sand would be very hard to get into the little hole - I used water and it was very very easy.

The instructions say 362 lbs of sand to fill the base.

This is sturdy enough for adults. You would not want to hang on the rim, because it would capsize. This is a quality hoop great for shooting.

Is this system sturdy enough for adults to play on? All reviews seem to be for young kids.

What a lifesaver product during quarantine.  Took a couple hours to put together but was well worth the time.  Even for those of us not very gifted at "some assembly required" and tools, this was pretty easy to follow and straightforward to put together.  I only made one mistake that was fairly simple to fix.  Thankfully the finished product was excellent and easy to lift up and down from 8 ft to 10 ft.  Perfect for my 14-year old boy to get out of the house.  Same for his old man.

So far so good!  Totally as expected and the reviews I had read were accurate as far as assembly is concerned.  The pics are great to go by and the written instructions are a little lacking, but I rarely read those if the pics are good.  The raising and lowering is super easy with the spring assist.  I was able to put this together by myself, but a 2nd person would have been helpful at certain stages.  Don't forget to peel away the thin plastic protective coating on the backboard BEFORE raising it to height ;-)

We purchased this product for the whole family to enjoy and so far it has exceeded our expectations. The product arrived ahead of schedule and only took my 11-year-old and me about 2 1/2 hrs to assemble. The height of the basket/backboard is easily adjustable making it fun for all ages and ability levels.

Very hard to assemble and very time consuming. My husband is very handy and it took him 3 hours to put together. Very tedious and instructions are very unclear. Thank goodness he has patience. Our son and myself had to help him hold the basketball system several times so he could assemble several pieces of the court side system. The only drawback of this system, is putting it together.

Perfect!  My husband just loved it!  It took 3 hrs to put together.  The key is to read the instructions first, lay the items (in the bags) and put in order.  This way it is easy to assemble.   Very sturdy.....love the 48" backboard and the lifetime warranty.

Basketball Court System

We read many reviews of different systems, and decided on this particular one after watching the video on line. The adjustment handle we thought was the easiest one and less complicated for our
grandchildren to use to adjust the height when needed. Ordered thru Walmart, and arrived a few days early, which was good, because it was a birthday present. Box was in great shape, had help loading it into our Equinox, and took it to our grandson's for his birthday. The next day we saw pictures of it together, and called our son, and he said it only took about 2 1/2 hours to put together, (even with their 6 and 8 year old helping). He said you have to follow the instructions exactly, but they were easy to follow. You do need more than a pair of pliers, but if you have a basic set of sockets, that'll work. Probably will take more time to put the sand in (he's using silica sand) than putting it together. We're from Wisconsin, so it needs to get out of the 20's before they use it, but at this point it looks like a really good product for the price. Spalding reviews scared us. I'd suggest looking on line at the various models, read the reviews, and watch the videos they have before deciding. For a few dollars more we went with this one because of the 48" backboard, and the handle for the height adjustment. Has to be the "Courtside" model. Made our grandson's day ! Was a little difficult wrapping it in the car though.

Great Portable Basketball System for the price.

One person assembly took about an hour. It was useful to have my ratcheting socket wrench - I could see it taking longer if you don't have that. Add another half hour for getting all the sand into the small hole in the hoop - had to fashion a funnel out of an old milk jug, but if you bought a good funnel (like one for putting oil into a car) that would help a lot.
The kids have been playing on it every day and the easy adjust has been great! Let's me practice on it after they go to bed.

Easy to adjust, robust, and great value

My Mom purchased the system for my 10 year old son and it's really great. My son and husband set everything up in a couple of hours with no trouble.
The only complaint we have is that the 2 holes in the base for filling the sand are so incredibly small! We live in the Midwest so we don't want the bother of using water/anti-freeze and don't like the sloppy look of just dumping sand bags on top of the base so it took us a couple of hours to get the 350 lbs of sand into those tiny openings - just a poor design.
Aside from that, the system is fabulous and an amazing value for the money. We shopped around online and Walmart not only had a great price for the system but an amazing price for shipping so we just couldn't pass it up. All the neighborhood kids are using it and we really love it!
