We got to visit everything we wanted to do!
We got to visit everything we wanted to do! Everyone at every place except the Tremont Lodge and Resort (which we never got to stay) we’re absolutely wonderful and friendly! Reggie at the Tremont Lodge was unfriendly and refused our stay even though we had a reservation! I would not ever recommend that place! We stayed there 10 or so years ago and the people that ran it then were absolutely wonderful! We ended up staying 4 or 5 nights! But it’s not that way now! But Townsend is a great place to visit and the leaves turning were beautiful! Vickie

Townsend is a great place with friendly people.
Townsend is a great place with friendly people. Love Cades Cove and all the water falls. IGA is a good place to get needed supplies and they have a hot bar. Best breakfast is at Townsend Pancake House. Good food is at Riverstone and Jimbob's.

Extremely friendly town!
Extremely friendly town! Every restaurant made us welcome and accommodated us on a patio with our small dog.
Townsend Pancake house twice....super delicious breakfast.
JimBobs Barbecue had great ribs and grilled shrimp, we ate under a patio umbrella in the rain on their patio.
The Abbey was beautiful and had good food. Live music too.
Loved the outdoor garden/patio.

We were unable to make our trip due to poor weather in the area and have yet to hear back about cancellation or rescheduling. It has been 3 weeks and the hoops you have to jump through to still not be able to speak to someone with an inkling of an idea about what is going on is ridiculous. We will NEVER try to stay at this facility again. Absolutely horrible experience.

No staff at facility.
No staff at facility. No ice machine No drink/snack machine. Only 1 set of towels for a 3 day stay. Trash was never collected. Room was never cleaned. Spiders in webs all over the ceilings. Will never stay here again.
This was I and my wife's second trip to Tennessee. Every hotel that was pet friendly was booked on the Parkway therefore, we resorted to the next town over which was Townsend about 35 min from Pigeon Forge. Tash, Claudette and Andre were excellent hosts during our stay! The breakfast bar was very good and the coffee was soooo good! We also liked the fact that it was quiet here and the beds were comfortable; we rested well! The rooms were clean and we will definitely visit here again!
Great location. The room was exceptional, very clean!! We brought our dog, and needed a place that accepted pets. This place did not disappoint. Easy drive to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, without the hectic crowd. Just down the road from Smoky Mountains National Park, and Cades Cove. Plenty to do in Townsend, with great places to eat. Will definitely book again!!!
Stunning with great design. Kitchen was well stocked and outdoor spaces had good quality chairs and tables for relaxing with sounds and view of the river. Being adjacent to town was a nice perk. We were in Townsend for our daughter’s wedding at Harpers Vineyard and being really close-by made it very convenient to go back and forth.
Staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. Super clean room. Allowed me to park my car on property after I checked out in order to "sightsee" with my family who drove separately. Pillows/beds were as comfortable as any expensive hotel! Awesome internet speed. Extremely peaceful location.
The mattress was newer. The room was big. The pool is nice but everything is in a state of disrepair or needs a power washing. We booked this hotel just because it has a balcony and so we could smoke but there's signs everywhere saying they will charge you $200 if you smoke.
Townsend River Breeze is a super great hotel. Extremely clean. Staff friendly. No breakfast is offered, which was fine with us. Location is close to Cade's Cove and that is why we were there. I hope I can come back again.
The location was fabulous in Townsend. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were just right. The room was clean and large. It was wonderfully quiet. It was close enough to all the attractions.
Location was awesome. We are regular to the area but always in gatlinburg wanted to stay in townsend and will definitely do so again. Nice small town and way closer to the mountains.
The location was excellent for my purpose. My room was in a great area. My goal for being in Townsend required me to be present well before breakfast could reasonably be available.
We had a wonderful stay at The Dancing Bear Lodge! It’s a very special and fantastic lodge in Townsend. Our last stay was 14 years ago and we enjoyed it as much as the last time.
The room was immaculate very tasteful furniture in a very comfortable bed. I absolutely loved my stay here and I plan to stay here every time I come to Townsend in the future.
The location was excellent: beautiful and close to necessities while still quiet. The cost for the whole house was only a few hundred dollars more than a decent hotel room.
