Left earbud does not hold any charge after 20 minutos. I have cleaned it like user's guide shows and I have charged it completely but same thing happens

The battery life went from 6 hours to 2 hours on the right headphone and 20 minutes on the left after the latest update and will need to be replaced now

Great headphones, problematic battery life

Approximately 3 months after warranty ends and an update my headphones can't hold a charge any longer. One month prior to this the foam tips started crumbling. I've also read about the battery issue right after warranty period ending throughout many forums of people with the same exact issue. Other than this they were great.

Great when they worked.

I'm not happy with product.   They were very good to start but I'm having severe battery drain issues and the case no longer charges to a full charge which means the headphones won't receive full power.  With the cost of these I'm very disappointed in the quality.

Great at first but now having major battery issues

Great excellent sound!! really poor battery quality, it lasted 13 months, barely used it, can't even get 1/2 an hour of battery now (15 minutes at most), honestly the sound is amazing but without long lasting batteries the product is useless.

The I bought the XM4 when it came out in June 2021 and was enjoying it for the good audio quality. The ear bud is on the large side but I was able to use it as I like the audio presentation. I use other ear buds for meetings or exercises and it is fine with me. 

However, the situation changed after firmware 2.0 (I think) update. The XM4's battery life is horribly bad (&lt;1 hour for the right bud, the left is a bit better but not like before the firmware update). I tried reconnect and reset and the situation stayed the same. Really disappointed. Will try to work with Sony Services and hope I can use it again. 

Form the web, it seems this is related to hardware defect of early XM4s. This is , I believe, the first Sony product I have (among my many Sony stuffs) suffers hardware failure...

Like it until the last firmware update

This is my second pair in two years that experienced a battery drain an issue with one of the earbuds. This pair was the warranty replacement for the first that failed within the warranty period. Unfortunately the replacements don't come with a one year warranty. The battery drain issue is well documented and there is no known fix for the issue.

Battery Issues

My original set headphones had a battery drain issue with the left headphone. I contacted Sony and they sent me a replacement unit.

The replacement Unit is defective as well but now Sony says it's out of warranty and the only thing it can be done is to send it out and see if it can be repaired.

Sony Quality Control is not what it used to be.

Poor Quality Control and Warranty Service.
