Unless you struggle with virtual or reading compressions, this is the perfect tool for cooking and is a must have in every kitchen. The app included is brilliance. We are able to cook on any type of cooker with any tote of meat any size and hot perfection when finished. This truly has been a life saver in my kitchen!

Perfect for smoking meats

It is almost twice as thick as my other probe (please see photo), so I do NOT use it for smaller meats like chicken drumsticks.

I'm so glad I went with the Yummly over other brands. It's super easy to use and works perfectly every time. I love how it tells me when to flip the meat and the estimated finish time. It makes cooking a breeze. I can't go back to poking the meat to see if it's done. I can just set it on the grill and chill in my living room while it cooks. Best purchase ever!

Great if hou have more success than I did

Syncing and connecting to app was super easy but it didnt align with what i was cooking. Also inserted into meat needs to be removed to flip or perhaps insert on the side to avoid this but anyway used 1x to try and dont see the point.

- A:Answer Yummly Smart Thermometer works at a range of up to 150 feet. The probe connects to the dock (to be kept close to the probe) and then the dock connects to the Yummly app on your phone. Distances can vary depending on cooking techniques, home layouts and other obstructions. –Yummly

- A:Answer YUMMLY APP is what to look for and install ... the use of the thermometer is accessed within the RECIPE app ... but you might have to update the app to the latest version (late June 2020) in order to access it. Contrary to the description in the small black pamphlet that comes with the device, there is no "activate". It's an "add device". Have the dock and thermometer near you when setting up via your phone, but remove the thermometer from the dock. After pairing your phone with the dock, the rest takes care of itself!

- A:Answer Two AAA batteries are included, and go in the base of the thermometer housing. These batteries charge the thermometer when it is placed inside the dock.

Q: QuestionThe Meatr has an ambient temperature reading as well as the meat temperature reading. Does the Yummly offer this? (This is very helpful for those of us who want to use it in a smoker: See the temperature of the meat and the grill's actual temperature.)
