Aura Bluetooth Smart Lock is a keyless entry electronic deadbolt featuring SmartKey. Using the Weiser App within Bluetooth range, you can lock/unlock the Aura Smart Lock and program up to 250 user access codes that can be scheduled and customized. This single cylinder deadbolt can be locked or unlocked by using the keypad or key from the outside as well as the turn button from the inside. The crisp, clean appearance of the Satin Nickel finish adds to the overall look of the product and brings a modern feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Replacement Purchased this to replace a Weiser lock that lasted 8 years. Easy to install, if you have the proper holes cut. Love the smart lock, so we could re-key to the existing house key. Like that I can control access on the app. Although it is bluetooth only, that is ok with us. Our old lock required us to take the back off to change the batteries and add or remove numbers, so this is much better. This lock does NOT have WiFi access, so if you are looking for that in a lock, you are better off looking at a different lock. You can unlock it from the phone app, when you are within 30 metres of the door.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where's the app? Just installed but I had quite a time getting it to work as the deadbolt was extremely sticky. Had to oil it a few times and work it back and forth until it went in and out smoothly. Because of this, the door handing process did not work the first two times. But the most frustrating part so far has been that the webpage does not exist to download the app. Both the QR code and the URL send me to pages that do not exist on the Weiserlock.com site. You should probably fix this if you would like to keep customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Deadbolt and Easy to Install After reading many reviews of keypad deadbolts I chose this Aura Deadbolt in Black Matte. While this isn’t a smart wifi type, it’s pretty slick for my purposes. The Bluetooth range seems reasonable for a standard home and if you wait about ten seconds it will confirm it’s lock or unlocked status. We got this for the garage man door into the house. The Weiser app shows you the battery level so you don’t have to worry about a dead battery when using it. The install was straight forward. But the instructions have a lot of small font. Maybe harder for some users.

The instructions are straightforward, and the app's setup works flawlessly. The Bluetooth connection has been working well and has both my wife's and my phone connected simultaneously with no issues.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bluetooth is the shortcoming Just built a new garage in the yard. Love the fact that I don’t need a key to access it and that a single button will lock it. Have not experienced winter yet, so not sure of how the CDN cold will affect the battery life. That said, the bluetooth range bites hard with this product. I cannot get a signal through my patio door and must walk out onto the patio to get it to work. This is less than 20 feet from the lock. Battery changes have not helped.

I need to be within a few feet and even if the app does happen to connect to the lock it often fails to actually lock or unlock. The bluetooth is only helpful to change codes and modify settings. Do not buy if you want to lock or unlock from your phone.

Bought the Weiser Aura on the Apple store it shows two possible apps - Weiser from Spectrum Brands Inc and the other from Weiser Lock Corp - which is the app to download and use?

How is it for Quebec Winters, or heavy rain? Is it too sensitive? How many smartphones can be connected to one smartlock?

Here are the temperatures that the Aura lock can withstand: Exterior: 32-140F / Interior: 32-122F Exterior: 100% condensing / Interior: 30-95% non-condensing Up to 8 smartphones can be paired to one Aura lock.

Can Bluetooth function be turned on and off, to save battery life. Turn on, change codes, turn off, for instance.

The Bluetooth feature can be enabled/disabled on your phone but you will need Bluetooth enabled in order to access the lock via the Weiser app.

How is this unit at -30C? We get this a few times a year. Still works? Deadbolt still moves? I see Weiser saying (responding to a user comment) outside heat range is from 0C (32F) and up. That would mean its not suited to many parts of Canada. Thoughts?

The Aura Bluetooth Smart Lock can withstand temperature ranges of -40°F to 180°F for the exterior and 32°F to 140 °F for the interior, any conditions outside of this range may cause inconsistencies in the lock’s performance.

I realize Bluetooth can be turned on and off on one's phone. Can Bluetooth be turned off, on Aura lock, when not needed, to stop it searching for phone and thus using battery? Concerned re battery life.

There is no feature on the Aura lock that has the ability to turn Bluetooth off/on only your phone.
