Our Oversized Officer Coat is inspired by the sturdy, reliable, but gentlemanly outerwear worn by British officers. Todd wanted to honor the full, generous cut of the originals — the double-breasted, A-line silhouette is vented in the back for easy movement, with a belt to cinch things in. It’s made entirely from a soft wool fabric in a striking mustard-and-navy plaid. There’s also a high, dramatic collar that’s perfect for turning up against the cold: the classic officer’s coat was issued to protect its wearer from inclement weather right up until the end of the 20th century.
This coat is perfection! The oversized fit is perfect for the winter - giving plenty of room for sweaters and heavier clothes. I am obsessed with the pattern - it is eye catching and everyone makes a comment about its look. It is a great investment piece that I will have for years
This coat is awesome! I was worried that I needed the XXL because I’m 6’4” but the XL is perfection. The wonderful salesperson Jordan at the Hayes Valley store also let me know it would be no trouble to return in store if I had any issues as well. I get TONS of compliments and it’s super warm and comfy.
The day this stunning coat arrived, I wore it to a multi-generational progressive holiday party. At every stop, a different person jokingly threatened to steal it. Men of all ages and sexualities, women of all sizes, wanted this coat. It was a luxury purchase. It has already paid dividends.
Gorgeous in theory. Not in reality. I’m a slim guy and even with an XS I was overwhelmed. Mostly by the extreme collar width. Gorgeous pattern. Had to return it. Sad about this one.
This coat is beautiful! I was disappointed that jacket was not lined. But the visual bang is worth the buck.
