About

Tommy Prine grew up surrounded by music in Nashville, Tennessee. As the son of late Grammy-winning country-folk legend John Prine, Tommy learned to play the guitar by watching his father play. As a teenager, Prine sometimes went on tour with his dad, and 10 straight years of camping at Bonnaroo helped him discover his own sound. In his mid-twenties, Prine began writing songs that would inspire his June 2023 debut album This Far South, which poetically explores faith, growing up, and loss, including the pain of losing a parent. “It sucks to lose a parent at any age — in my case when he was the world’s greatest songwriter,” Prine told a sold-out crowd in early 2023. In 2022, Prine released his debut single “Ships in the Harbor,” which AP described as “moving and vulnerable as anything written by anyone about Prine’s father.” In 2023, Prine opened for Tyler Childers on his Send in the Hounds Tour.

The venue was great - awesome space - Tommy Prine was fantastic as expected- saw him last year in Green Bay - But… people behind us so rude - talking loudly and no regard for the people around them - such disrespect- maybe a gently reminder from someone working the venue about what’s expected from the crowd before hand would have helped - just a thought-
