We Couldn't get the lid off!
Whoever designed the container for this baking powder is a poor designer. Both my husband and I struggled to remove the lid. It's very shallow and is almost impossible to get hold of. Eventually I managed to move it and he was able to wrench it off. I don't hold out much hope for people with arthritis, or stiff hands - ours are now sore and stiff anyway! I won't buy this again.
horrible taste
effective but has the worst taste. made my cake taste horrid.
Why more expensive?
Waitrose own brand baking powder is only £1 for 160g. Why is this M&S own brand product relatively more expensive? Its the same stuff ie sodium bicarbonate!!!!
knocked a star off for the lid
Yes the lid is a nightmare. But once you do manage to get into it, it is subsequently easier. Happy with the product though and will purchase again
Terrible packaging!
Either I had a one from faulty batch or the design of the tube/lid has changed! I couldn't open the bloody thing. Took ages to pry it open and before you think there are lots of this type packaging for baking powder/soda etc, it's not the same. I have M&S baking soda and previously published regular M&S baking powder that look the same but the lid on this one is just impossible to open!
