Q. What is a Mattifying Primer?

A. A Mattifying Primer is a makeup base that preps the skin for cosmetic application, ensuring longer-lasting makeup and reducing shine.

Q. Why choose a silicone-free primer?

A. Silicone-free primers offer a more natural finish, allowing the skin to breathe and are often considered cleaner and healthier for the skin, especially for those with sensitive or acne-prone types.

Q. Can a Mattifying Primer benefit oily or acne-prone skin?

A. Yes, a Mattifying Primer, especially one with purifying ingredients like eucalyptus, is excellent for oily and acne-prone skin as it helps control excess oil and reduces the appearance of pores.

Q. How do natural ingredients enhance a primer's efficacy?

A. Natural ingredients like seaweed for collagen-boosting, aloe for hydration, and eucalyptus for purification provide skin health benefits while ensuring a smoother makeup application.

Q. Is this primer suitable for both face and eyes?

A. Yes, this Mattifying Primer is designed for both face and eyes, softening and smoothing the skin before you apply makeup.

Q. How does the seaweed collagen in the Mattifying Primer contribute to flawless makeup?

A. Seaweed collagen plumps the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, creating a smoother surface for makeup application.

Used to be wonderful & smooth, now awful & sticky

I came to see if anyone else had noticed a change in formula and disappointed to see it is indeed the case. I have used this primer for about 10 years and used to order two or three at a time as I can't usually find it to buy in the UK. It was out of stock for so long and when I had a notification a few months ago to say it was back I purchased 2 immediately. Unfortunately both are a massive let-down - it's now thick, sticky, and makes my mineral powder look flaky, dry & bobbly as soon as I apply it. 😞 It's nothing like the lovely silky light product it used to be where a little went a long way and makeup glided on smoothly. I have had to just move on and look for a different primer from another brand as I cannot afford to completely waste £110 (for two primers & £20 shipping) again - even if it did just turn out to be a bad batch, can't risk it. Feel really ripped off.

Different formula, simply horrible

I was the biggest fan of 100 Percent Pure for five years, replacing 95% of all my cosmetics with their products. However, I can’t express enough how disappointed I am with their products this year. One of my favorites was the Mattifying Primer—it used to feel so smooth and luxurious on my skin. The product I received now is the complete opposite: it’s sticky, heavy, and smells awful, almost like sewage. I’m not sure if they changed manufacturers, but nearly everything I’ve bought from them this year has been a letdown. I’m truly hoping they’ll address the quality issues soon. I’m willing to give them one more chance, but if I receive the same low-quality products, I’ll have no choice but to switch to another brand. That breaks my heart, as I’ve always been so excited about 100 Percent Pure and was a huge advocate for it among my friends. I loved the brand’s vision of natural, harmless products, but now it feels like those products are ‘chemical’ and very different. Honestly, it feels like a betrayal. It almost seems like I’ve received counterfeit products. Please bring the old products back.
