Our recent stay at a cottage just a 5-minute drive from the Sumela Monastery was nothing short of perfect. The charming and hardworking lady who hosted us made our experience exceptional. We highly recommend this cozy retreat for anyone visiting the area.

It is in a fantastic location, 5 mins to Sumela Monastry. It is very easy to find and is right by a creek, which you can hear as soon as you open the windows or step outside. The view is breathtaking and most importantly, the owner, Ms. Neriman is a terrific host.

The location is spectacular with facilities beautiful and comfortable. The quiet made leaving windows open all night to hear the river magnificent. The food was delicious and we stayed for both dinners. The breakfast was massive such that we didn't eat lunch either day. Highly highly recommend and we would stay again.

We stayed at Iskalita in late April, so we got to enjoy a real furnace in the kitchen. The view from the windows was breathtaking—pine trees and mountains. The room was clean and stylish, the bed was big. In the kitchen there's a backgammon board and several decks of card if you feel bored. The breakfast was very good and very traditional.

Very comfortable bed. Surrounded by mountains & flowing creek hotel. Beautiful scenery and quiet surroundings in the middle of nature. Owner & staff are very hospitable. Mohamad is very helpful, kind & speaks a bit of English. Delicious beans (fasoulia) is cooked to order and kitchen cuisine is tasty. Good bkfst with fresh choices & eggs. We enjoyed our stay indeed. We liked the top room with balcony. Perfect place to be in nature & close to Sumela monastery.

It is 5 km away from Sumela monastery and you can stay at the hotel during the night, I traveled with my family and stayed their after returning from the Sumela Monastery my plan was to stay for one night but because of the beautiful nature and respectful stuff of the hotel we decided to extend our stay for another three days. The stuff generally and Mohammed especially is a great guy he treated us very kindly and made us to feel like we are in our home.
