Bacon!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bacon! Have I got your attention yet?? Bought this unit because I live in rural Arizona and wanted to try and cut down on some of the air impurities in my home. Seems to be doing its job on the daily. However what surprised me the most was we typically cook a bunch of bacon for Sunday morning breakfast, and if there's any leftovers we will nibble on them throughout the week. As much as I love bacon I hate the lingering smell in the house it leaves for 1-2 days afterwards. This unit removes the lingering bacon smell within hours! The unit is fairly quiet on low speed (normal running 24/7) and only noticeable at higher speeds.

Fantastic in my kitchen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I put my Shark Air Purifier in my open kitchen next to the island. My kitchen has the microwave vent fan and cooking fouls the air with the feeble exhaust system. The air quality gauge on the Shark normally reads 100%, but when the air smells it goes down to 60%, and when there is cooking smoke in the air, it goes down to 40% air quality. After 5-10 minus of the Shark on max setting the air in the kitchen-living room-dining room returns to 100%. When the machine is put in the bedroom, the very fresh filtered air makes sleeping more comfortable. I highly recommend this air purifier. The only two issues with the Shark are expensive replacement filter that has to be changed in 6-12 months depending on your air quality, and the auto setting runs at lowest speed doing little unless the room gets so Smokey that you have to go outside as the machine then goes to max until the air is clean. It works much better if you turn it up manually when there are smells or cooking smoke. The filtration is great. No more sneezing from allergens or mound spores in the air, and when the machine runs 24/7, there is no need to dust the furniture. Great machine.

SHARK AIR PURIFIER BEATS ALL OTHERS PREVIOUSLY OWN
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased 2 of the shark air purifiers and could not love the product more! Both are large capacity and keeps both floors of my home smelling clean. With 3 dogs (2) golden doodles even when bathed regularly and my house meticulously cleaned including upholstery it only lasted a few days. I was embarrassed! Not to mention food but odors lingering. Quickly removed and smelling clean. Most amazing is ho MUCH I T HAS REMOVED ALLERGENS, with an asthmatic child. The moment I plugged it in the air quality indicator was 69% poor and not too surprised. Within a few hours it was at 100%. I was so excited I re-cleaned the house and bathed the dogs. The house has been odor free! QUIET, EFFICIENT AND WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Superior Air Protection
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got both the 4 and 6 fan models. One would be amazed how nasty the air one breaths. I adjusted the settings to automatic, and it reacts to us cleaning the house, washing clothes, cooking, or leaving the door open. These units have the ultimate HEPA filter that also gets rid of oders. The filters are expensive, but leaving the unit on Automatic, saves electricity, and the units speeds up if the air quality is sub par. Both of us have sinus issues and these units keeps virus, bacteria, dust and whatever at bay. I'm saving my Washingtons, Lincolns, and Jacksons, for new filters in 6 months or when the unit tells me after X amount of hours run time, their due for a change.

So far do good
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was worried how well unit worked initially since it stayed at 100% for a good deal of the tine. My kids burnt some popcorn and i got to see it in action. I have it set on auto and the fan speed definitely increased when the air quality percentage dropped.

Check which Air Filter You get
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the remote as well as the other various settings such as the “auto” function wherein in will adjust by itself depending on how clean your air is. The brightness of the LCD can also be adjusted. You can purchase 3 different air filters ($80, $90 or $100). I have both this and the black one (602 Model). This one came with a Pet (middle filter) Filter while the 602 came with the Pro (highest filter) Filter. I don’t know which one it should come with, but it should be the same in all models, hence the 4 stars. I don’t think it’s worth the $450 price tag, but with the sale, (over $200 off), it’s worth the money.

Q: QuestionIt’s easy to get the filters
Asked by Mango.
- A:Answer Filters can be purchased from where the machines are sold, or from Shark. Generally, the first couple years, only the manufacturers expensive filtration is available. As time goes on, aftermarket filters, that are much cheaper become available from filter supply companies. All manufacturers tell you to only use their filters, or your warranty is voided. You will find that the cheaper replacements, down the road are exactly the same as the OEM ones.

Q: QuestionI just installed the purifier in my home, which I know for a fact doesn’t have perfectly clean air, yet the reading on the purifier says 100%. Is there a way to troubleshoot this? Will I need to return the whole unit now?
Asked by HobokenNj.
- A:Answer I think those numbers are arbitrary. Test it by turning a humidifier on and watch it freak out. It will drop to 10%-0% then go back up once it’s off

Q: QuestionWill this air purifier clean the air in entire house since it covers 1200 sq ft? Or do I need multiple for each room?
Asked by Lizzie.
- A:Answer I'd say you could expect it to work for the entire level that it is on. Might be a stretch to say it will purify rooms upstairs if it is running downstairs. We move it at night - works great. I put this filter on the main floor and just let it do it's thing. We noticed a difference within a couple hours.

Q: QuestionHow long need to change the filter?
Asked by Lee.
- A:Answer We recommend changing the filter every 6-12 months. When the filter needs to be changed, the FILTER LIFE button will flash.

Q: QuestionI have a house being built it’s under 1,000 so something like 975sq. I want to know would this Shark - Air Purifier 6 With fan etc 1,200 sq. ft Cover my whole house that is under 1,000 sq. With all doors open. How does air purifier works for a small house
Asked by Zapped.
- A:Answer Spec wise it should handle it but it would really depend on how the air flow would work through out your house. I would think you would need to place it near the air intake of your furnace or a/c so it’s output can be drawn in and circulated that way. Logically I think it would make more sense to have a central air purification system built in to your main unit.since you are having the house built. That way you can get one made for the house.
