Each armchair has a unique expression since the wooden frame is first stained in a dark-brown tone and then covered with clear lacquer that makes the wood’s natural grains visible.
High-resilience foam in the seat and back makes the armchair regain its shape when you stand up. It is complemented with zigzag springs in the seat and supportive fabric in the back for a firm comfort.

Ticks the boxes Terri LEkenaset arm chair ticks all the boxes . Not only is this chair good looking it’s comfortable , overall support right where you need it . The fabric is seemingly durable. I vacuum furniture the texture hasn’t changed. Easy build , easy to use in any room , not too heavy or large to move .

Great chair!KimI had my eye on this one for a while and finally decided to go for it. It was easy to put together, it's surprisingly comfortable, doesn't take up much space, and I love the dark teal color so much! The corduroy fabric is really nice and soft too.
The Cushion does not align and now squeaking VioletMy first purchase was great but the second one the holes did not align and now unable to get rid of the squeaking and retuning is a nightmare!
Ekenaset ChairKatThis is a comfortable chair. It's also a well-built chair and I'm glad I bought it. I particularly like the contrast between the fabric (beige) and the dark wood. It goes well with my light green Kivik chair and ottoman.
The only thing I'd like to add to it is some type of clear plastic covering to the tops/sides of the arms so that they won't be impacted by the regular contact of bare human arms and objects that could mar the wood. I had another type of chair with wooden arms and that's what happened to its arms.
I've only had this chair for a few of months and so far so good!

I love these chairs!KellyIt's not often I come back to write a review, but I like these chairs enough to make the effort. I bought two of the grey-turquoise color. When we saw them in the store, I didn't expect them to be as comfortable as they are. The cordoroy fabric is soft and adds to the MCM vibe. Assembly was pretty straight forward and what you would expect from Ikea. I only wish they made a matching ottoman, similar to the Paong ottoman.

I absolutely love it. AnthonySo I was looking for an accent chair for my home office. And I happen to see this one on YouTube. The guy reviewing it reviews nothing but furniture from IKEA. During his review though something didn’t seem right and the way he was sitting and putting things together was keeping it from being sturdy and just wobbling and making noise. So I went against his review went to IKEA and purchased this chair and several other things. When I got home I put it together properly tighten everything properly and this chair is ROCK SOLID! It’s extremely comfortable. I highly recommend!
Wood finish wears off after normal useOliverThe chair is nice to look at, but if you use it occasionally (had this chair for about 8 months) for watching TV or laptopping, you'll see that the finish wears off where your arms rest. It'll quickly look like an antique this way. So if you are into this sort of aesthetic, or if you are the kind of person who buys chairs that are not meant to be sat on, this is for you. Everybody else might want to look elsewhere. I'd also say the arms are somewhat too thin to the point that they are actually uncomfortable to rest your arms on (I'm 6'0'' and slim). Overall "style over substance" comes to mind when thinking of this chair, as well as "harmful": I shudder thinking that this wood finish was likely absorbed through my skin.

So comfortable!LeahWe went to IKEA to get replacement cushions for our Poang chairs and ended up sitting in the Ekenaset. They sucked us in and we ended up going back a few weeks later to pick them up. They are sleek and comfortable and the perfect size.
Great chairs!RosemaryI am a mid-century fan so right away these fit the bill. I won’t buy any seating without sitting in it first so I went to store and was pleasantly surprised. They are not sink in comfy chairs but they are perfect accent chairs. I am 5’5” and my husband is 6’ and we both are comfortable in them, not too low or narrow. The blue color could be described as a medium seafoam.
great chair but...FloraI'd rate this chair 5 stars for style and comfort and price. BUT, the brown stain on the wooden arms of the chair came off in less a month. If you clean the arms gently with wet paper towel, the stain come off. So even though the rest of the chair looks brand new, the arms look like it's quite old. Very annoyed as the chair looks great otherwise. When I bought dark brown stained furniture from IKEA 5+ years ago, the stain have not come off even today. But this chair -- the arms were not properly stained. IKEA -- make sure to do your quality control on staining wood. Does IKEA sell brown stain paint anyone know?
