1958
Carl and Donna Rose open the original 750 square foot Carl’s Golfland on the outskirts of Pontiac, Michigan
1962
Original Carl’s Golfland location moves to our current location in Bloomfield Hills Michigan. Currently, our facility has expanded to 43,000 square feet of golf retail and a 15-acre world-class practice facility.
1985
GolfWorld’s 100 Best Golf Shops awards introduced – Carl’s Golfland named to top 100. Our Bloomfield Hills location has been named to the top 100 each year since the award’s introduction, and our Plymouth store each year since opening.
2000
Carl’s opens second retail location at St. John’s Golf and Conference Center in Plymouth, Michigan. Carl’s Golfland in Plymouth is THE contemporary showplace in the world of golf retail.
2006
Carl’s Golfland named to GolfWorld’s Best of the Best – an unmatched honor in golf retail.
2012
The Launch Pad Fitting Center, a 3,000 square foot dedicated fitting center, opens at Carl’s Golfland Bloomfield Hills. The Launch Pad features a players’ lounge and four state-of-the-art fitting suites, allowing for year-round full ball flight analysis. Each bay is outfitted with TrackMan IV and a dedicated Trackman Certified performance fitter.
2012
Bloomfield Hills location receives massive facelift to meet customers’ growing demand for performance fittings and in-stock product. Aside from updated amenities, our 15,000 square foot on-site warehouse opened.
2019
Plymouth practice facility debuts TrackMan Range & newly renovated practice area – reshaped and resurfaced driving range
2022
Carl's Golfland opens state-of-the-art Distribution Center not far from the Bloomfield Hills location to meet the growing demand for in-stock gear and product variety. The DC is home to our World Class, 100% in-house, Customer Service Team.
