Great Stone Product for walls

We build an accent wall in our church to display a backlighted cross. The installation was simple and easy. The stone looks very realistic, and the produce is more durable than I expected. The panels sustained some shipping damage, but this did not cause any significant problems. They also required a little "clean up" from molding marks, but this was easily done with a razor knife.

Packing Department Quality

Almost every panel arrived broken. Some worse than others. The packing and shipping department needs a serious QA overhaul. Even the replacement panels were broken.

Are these panels suitable for a fireplace surround? Heat resistant? See more »

Our products can be used near fireplaces & wood stoves but with restrictions. Our wall panels are made of high-density polyurethane and are combustible. When installed around a fireplace opening/insert, and/or stove, you must follow the fireplace insert/stove manufacturer's specifications for required clearances of Class B materials. You also must adhere to any, and all, building and/or fire codes concerning clearances that are applicable in your area. For complete information about using our products around heat sources please visit: https://www.barrondesigns.com/terms-a...

This panel is jagged on two sides. How would I install it considering this. Do I have to start in the center of the wall? If I start from the top or bottom I would have to turn it upside down. Also the website recommends 12 panels using the calculator but it is assuming most of your other panels in the calculation because most panels are flat on the top and bottom so you can use the cut pieces and stagger them. I do not think you can do this with this panel See more »

Thank you for reaching out to us in regards to our products! Since the Anson Fieldstone is interlocking on all 4 sides, a portion of the bottom of the panel will need to be cut off to create a flat edge at the bottom. You will need to start the installation at the bottom right corner and proceed right to left. Also, our panel calculator gives you an estimate based off of the square footage of your wall and does add in a standard waste factor. Since the calculator is an estimate, I always recommend doing a rough layout to double check the calculator's estimate. Something else to keep in mind is that the Anson Fieldstone can be staggered by 1/2 of a panel (meaning you can stack the right side of a panel on top of a left side) so while they're not as forgiving… See full answer »

What kind of adhesive do you use? Do you use plywood for backer? Do you only need caulking for exterior installs? See more »
2 years ago
We recommend Loctite PL 3x construction adhesive. Panels require 85% or better surface contact so a backer is needed when there is not drywall or sheathing at the installation location. Caulking is recommended for both interior and exterior installations. We have excellent installation instructions on the website. Here is the link to those instructions:

Hello , would I be able to use a clear coat on your product in a shower? and how difficult is it to cut your product? See more »
2 years ago
Cutting is very easy. Any woodcutting saw with a finish blade will do. We do not recommend these panels for use in a shower due to the harsh cleansers and abrasives needed to keep a shower clean.
