Love the Faim - underrated band in US
by L. Lynch on 12/5/19The Shelter - DetroitI first saw this band in November 2018 at a small venue in Detroit with multiple bands. The Faim really stood out among the other bands. When they came back in May 2019 to support Andy Black, I had to see them again. I was just as delighted with their performance and music. So I HAD to see them on tour this October at the Shelter in Detroit in a co-headliner tour with Stand Atlantic. The Shelter is a very intimate venue which allows a really close experience with the bands. It was a decent crowd, but many left after Stand Atlantic played. Seriously. I can't figure out why people would leave and not stay to see such a good band. Their loss. The Faim was excellent as I expected them to be. Because the crowd had thinned, I had great access to the stage, so was good for me. The Faim definitely need more promotion to raise their visibility in the States to draw better/bigger crowds. That being said, I will miss the access to the artists when they get big enough to warrant a larger venue. ;)
