Gatwick Express does more than get you to the airport and back. After its main leg from London to Gatwick by train, the Gatwick Express route map includes stops at Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and the seaside town of Brighton – a popular weekend and day trip location.

What's more, the Gatwick Express serves stops in Preston Park and Wivelsfield. It's also connected to the London Underground via Victoria station on the Victoria and District and Circle Lines which are both wheelchair accessible. Getting the train to Gatwick from Brighton is also a simple journey for passengers to make. During peak hours, the Gatwick Express to and from Brighton also calls at Preston Park, Hayward’s Heath and Hassocks, providing an extra commuter train for those in the Brighton area.

Gatwick Airport

London Gatwick, the UK's second busiest airport, is located near Crawley, south of central London. It has two terminals and getting to each of them by train is pretty straight forward.

The Gatwick Express stops in the South Terminal at the airport, and after getting out of the station, you will immediately find yourself at baggage check-in.

To get from the South Terminal to the North Terminal, take the inter-terminal shuttle service. The shuttle station is located close to the train station at Gatwick's South Terminal. It runs every few minutes 24/7 and takes just two minutes.

If you're going the other way, follow the signs for South Terminal to get the shuttle

The airport has a number of restaurants, duty-free shops, and facilities that will make waiting for your flight a pleasant experience. As a popular airport for both regional and international travel, getting the train to Gatwick will certainly help you avoid queues in and out of the busy road network.
