Cracked in less than a weekSaraI used the bed slats on a brimnes storage bed and it cracked after first week and dips in the middle. I only weigh 127 pounds and am sure I don’t weigh enough to crack it.
Ruin the mattressIngaThese slats are not good if you have a quality mattress. We have a $4k mattress and the slats completely ruined it because they flex so much under the weight.
Do not buyAnneSlats are not flat or one piece straight across. At first, I thought I was on an old mattress that sagged towards the middle. No. It's these slats. Bad for the back. Woke up w/back pain.
Simple Design but EffectiveAriAfter reading reviews I feared that my purchase was poorly planned. Upon putting together the bedframe, the final step of installing the slats came and I tightened everything down making sure to plan that they could shift if I didn't put them in right. They went on very easily, could have done it myself but I did have my wife's help. We've been sleeping on them for around a week and I love it. It adds a subtle bounce to our bed but gently rests my weight(Around 250lb.) Honestly, I haven't slept this good in years with the same mattress. Would definitely recommend with the caveat that you know how to install furniture with proper level of pressure.

Well made, nice support for an adult maleS.Love these slats however, they do make noise when you move around or roll over. Wish there was a way to make them quiet.
Horrible for mattress firmness JasonFor years since i bought this i thought my mattress was cheap and quickly losing its firmness in the middle where i sleep. Turns out, it was actually these slats that were the problem. Because they’re curved, the lowest points on either side meet in the middle which essentially folds the mattress and causes a huge dip when you sleep on it. The last slats i got from ikea were flat and sturdy, but it looks like they don’t make them anymore. That’s such a shame because they’ve lasted over 10 years with zero issues, yet these curved ones have had a serious problem with their design from day one.

Falls throughRachelEvery time we change our sheets and move the mattress a bit, the slats fall through. It’s really frustrating, especially at night! We have to be careful on how we get on to the bed to make sure that the mattress doesn’t move and knock the slats off! There are tiny pieces that are supposed to hold this in place, and they don’t at all. We would return it, but we’re past the 180 days to return it. Save your money and buy something else.

What an absolutely awful productAnonymous reviewerThis was my first experience with IKEA, and it will be my last. First of all, I bought a bedframe from them because it was cheap. Just for it to be absolutely useless without the slats. Then the slots are awful! So all in all, I spent $100 on this bedframe to get some thing I can’t use, and some thing that doesn’t improve upon the part I couldn’t use! I anchored the slats with the dowels provided by the bedframe. Even still, I have literally FALLEN through the slats twice. I’ve had to wake up in the middle of the night to remove my mattress and readjust them twice, just so that I can sleep. I will be returning these, and I will not be purchasing from IKEA ever again. Maybe they were something in the past, but today they have gone the route of cheap products and they’re coasting on the fame of their name. These are also NOT easy to install!
