About this property

DOWNTOWN BOHEMIAN BUNGALOW WITH PIANO, GUITAR, VIEWS

Come stay in my arty bohemian bungalow sitting on a quiet hillside steps from the heart of downtown Estes Park (STR #3516). You can't find a better location! Let your creativity flow through my piano, guitar and other instruments. My recently rebuilt place features a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and great views of the Rocky Mountains.

+ Walk to restaurants, shows, breweries and shopping
+ 5 min drive to Rocky Mountain National Park

At 425 s/f, it's a small space but big on amenities, perfect for your trip!

NOTE: You must input dates and guest count before the platform calculates an accurate price for your visit.

My newly remodeled artsy bohemian bungalow is perfectly situated on a quiet hillside overlooking downtown Estes Park. There are great views of old Man Mountain and Prospect Mountain right off the deck. It’s rare to find a hilltop cabin with these views that are this close to town, and I can't recall ever seeing a vacation home filled with as many instruments as this one! There's a piano, ukulele, guitar, mandolin, set of bongos, and a djembe drum. Use the mountain vibe to create music after an inspiring day in the Rockies.

You can drive into the park in 5 minutes, walk half a block to restaurants, meander to Bond Park for live music, or just chill out on the deck and watch the hummingbirds fly by after a long day in the National Park.

*** BEFORE CONTINUING, NOTE THE FOLLOWING ***

1) Two can sleep in the queen bed, and there’s a sofa bed that is slightly smaller than a full size bed. That means the place sleeps four people comfortably if two are children. If they are adults, it’ll be a squeeze for the fourth on the sofa bed.
2) By booking, you are agreeing to the house rules at the bottom of the listing. You MUST read them.
3) The home is a very useable 425 square feet. It’s small but mighty!!

Now, onward! I invite you to stay in my boho-chic cabin. It’s bright yellow and I like to call it Mellow Yellow. You will love its warmth, cleanliness, artsy feel, views, location and awesome lighting!

It's perfectly appointed with comfy furnishings, a fully stocked kitchen, and countless amenities so you can feel at home during your mountain getaway in Estes Park.

I am a long-time superhost and have hosted thousands of people at my other properties. However, this is a new listing for me. That said, my other guests have raved at my other properties:

"... The cabin is an absolute delight! The location couldn’t be any better."
"... I travel the country frequently and have added this to my list of return trips."
"... Absolutely beautiful place, in an amazing location. Can't wait to stay again!"
"... In a nice location by the river and with great mountain views... looks exactly like the pictures posted!"
"... Beautiful setting and amazing host."

I spent several weeks giving my new cabin a facelift to create a quiet, relaxing sanctuary for your mountain retreat. Improvements include:

+ Updated decor
+ Musician's dream house, with piano, guitar, ukulele, mandolin, bongos and djembe
+ Blackout shades in the bedroom
+ Luxurious queen bed in a romantic nook with cozy lighting
+ New furniture
+ Fun bohemian vibe
+ Super fast WiFi

You will enjoy 1 bedroom, a full bathroom with toilet/shower, a living room with games, puzzles and a smart TV, a dining area with seating for 4, great deck with huge mountain views, and a really inviting living room.

My favorite feature is either the views off the deck, or the incredible lighting that adds a ton of ambiance for a romantic getaway or for those who just need to relax after a long day in the mountains. It’s a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of life.

⛰️ BEDROOMS ⛰️

My home offers 1 bedroom plus sleeping for one or two more in the living room.

Bedroom 1 - A great little master bedroom with attached bathroom. The comfortable queen bed is in a little nook surrounded by pendant lights and sheer curtains. It’s relaxing and extremely romantic!

Sleeping Area - The sofa converts to a bed that’s slightly smaller than a full size bed. It’s fine for two kids, 1 adult, or two very very cozy sleepers. Linens are underneath the sofa (it pops up).

⛰️ LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT ⛰️

Deck - This is the hallmark of my home, and it's a favorite place to spend time. Because my home is up on a hillside, you will feel like you’re in a treehouse. You can look down over the town, and out across the Estes Valley to Prospect Mountain and Old Man Mountain. You can walk about 4-5 blocks to the base of the aerial tramway that can zip you up to the top of Prospect Mountain (season dependent) and get a great view of the entire National Park..

Living Room - You'll pass much of your time here on the incredibly cozy and comfortable sofa. Twinkly lights and bamboo pendants light up the space, and a beautiful accent wall of plants will keep things alive and natural feeling. There are a few puzzles/games in the hutch if you want to detach from technology.

WiFi - The bungalow has a great WiFi router so you’ll enjoy a strong 100Mbs connection for streaming, entertainment and work, with no dead zones.

⛰️ COOKING ⛰️

Kitchen - The kitchen is fully stocked It features an oven, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, various small appliances, cutlery, dishes, utensils, bowls/pots/pans and virtually anything else you may need or want. It opens directly to the dining area so you can socialize as someone's cooking.

⛰️ ESTES PARK'S MANY AWARDS ⛰️

Estes has become an awesome year-round destination over the last five years. In fact, a few years ago the town was named to more than 50 lists of Best, Favorite and Top Destinations. Here are a select few:

⚡Best Mountain Town - Sunset Magazine

Here's what National Geographic Magazine wrote out our little slice of paradise:

"Rising up along the Continental Divide, Rocky Mountain National Park is a natural overachiever, with 77 mountains above 12,000 feet—including 14,259-foot Longs Peak—and a span of alpine tundra. Snow-packed granite peaks tower over a calm of ponderosa pines, which ease toward meadow and meandering stream—four ecosystems within one park. It’d be simple to cover them all on a drive along scenic Trail Ridge Road, but why not channel Enos Mills and hike some of the 355 miles of trails instead? You might hear elk bugling or spy otters swimming among lily pads."

This is a fully furnished, private cabin. You have full access to:

+ 1 bedroom
+ 1 bathroom
+ 1 private parking space
+ private deck
+ kitchen and dining/living area

I live in town and have since 2010. I know the area well and am only a text or phone call away. My co-host Nancy will be your house manager -- she's also a long time local and will help out with your stay to ensure a comfortable visit.

My cabin sits on a quiet hillside that's literally steps from downtown Estes Park. There is no better location in the entire zip code! You can walk to all the best coffee shops, breweries, restaurants and shops in town -- you can even listen to live music at Bond Park -- and still come home to a private, quiet retreat. The cabin's extremely unique location allows you to skip all the traffic in Estes Park and zip straight into Rocky Mountain National Park along Highway 34. What's more, you'll likely see hummingbirds, deer, and even elk off the deck! It doesn't get any better!

During the summer, there's a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. It stops steps away on the silver route at the corner of Elkhorn and Spruce.

INSTRUMENTS

I do not guarantee they are tuned or that the past guest didn't break them, detune them, break strings, etc. Consider them art pieces. You are responsible for all damage.

NOISE

This unit is in a quiet little neighborhood with other rentals nearby, so events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level. IE, don't sit out on the deck and beat the bongos late at night!

The house is equipped with NoiseAware which measures sound levels and alerts me if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (I will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet.

NONPAYING GUESTS

My insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property.

ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE

There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. AirBnB will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count.

AIR CONDITIONER

Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool mountain breeze cools the home off quickly in the evenings.

We absolutely loved our stay in this cozy bungalow! Beautiful views and great location. Even though it was so close to town, it was so quiet (even on the busy July 4th weekend!).

A bit chilly
Cute little house kind of fun to have a piano. It was pretty cold those nights in the house doesn’t heat up real well. If the mattress is too weird for you which it was for me in the couch in the living room is wide and firm

Wine tasting in Estes Park
This charming cozy bungalow was just perfect for our weekend trip up to Estes Park!! The close proximity to downtown was exactly what was needed for spending the day drinking wine and shopping. (With the exception of the neighbors doing a weekend landscaping project that started early in the morning) I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I will definitely be back!!
