If I could give 1 star, I would. This brush is the worse brush I’ve ever used. It’s supposed to smooth edges, but the bristles are way too hard to be used as such. I purchased this brush 5 months ago, and upon my trip to the hair salon recently, my hair stylist pointed out the fact that my edges were broken off on both sides (in the middle of my hair shaft) and near my bang. I knew right away it must be the brush, due to the fact that I only use the brush on that part of my hair. It is difficult to see breakage when the hair is in a curly state versus straight. So I was very surprised by that. As soon as I came back home, that brush went in the garbage. If you value your hair, do not buy this brush. My hair is 4a/b natural for 3 1/2 years. I have not had any breakage in 3 years, until I used this brush. Horrible!

Compared to my other 100% boar hair 2 way brush this feels very much like plastic bristles. I see a small amount of boar hair but not sure what the other bristles are. It is medium in firmness and has a nice handle. I’m on the fence about keeping it. It actually feels softer than the firm side of the Annie 2 way brush that I’m returning.

Of all the boar bristle brushes I’ve had, this brush is by far the best!! With other brushes, I felt like I was only brushing the surface and not getting deep into the thickness of my hair. But this brush definitely gets thru my thick hair and smoothes it down flawlessly!

I love this! And most importantly my toddler likes it. He looks forward to me doing his hair with this great brush. When I first saw it I was skeptical because it said ‘updo’ but I’m glad I went with my gut. I knew it would work for my baby boys hair.

Definitely not an updo brush, especially if you have curly hair 3b and up. It is soft and narrow enough to work on fly always and edges, so I would personally just keep it for that.

This is not to detangle your hair or used as a regular brush. This brush is perfect for a very sleek updo look. I wish there were more bristles on this brush.
