Great for the price-change settings for max perf
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3060 GPU is the 105w version with only 6gb dedicated memory. Runs hot and fans get going with med high noise. Runs cooler just propped up and better with a fan under it. Boots up quick with OS on nvme. Upgraded with 32gb memory and another Nvme. 2 nvme slots, one take. And the other is available. Turned off all power settings to get max performance. One is in bios for screen dimming power saving. Screen default is 60hz but you could/should change to max 144 for better quality. Keyboard is a good size and brightness Negative: Touchpad, mouse click, and case feels like cheap plastic. Get around by using a mouse. They definitely saved cost here and put that on performance

Great computer. Worth the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Computer runs very well. Led keyboard settings allows up to 15 colors to choose from with no strobing just solid color. Battery life is pretty poor, maybe 3 hours with basic use and on battery not a lot of options to use it for. Keep it plugged in for best use. Graphics are awesome. Played borderlands 3 on medium and got around 110 fps. It will get hot because of CPU so change advanced power setting for processor power management to 80% for best cooling best method at least found. Overall love it. Also, it installed windows 11 immediately when loaded up.

Well worth the price (my price:$1k)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been 3 weeks since I bought it and it plays everything I have tried (a bunch of free games) at 80-100fps for more intense games (Halo Infinite, Warzone, Apex Legends) and does exceptionally well for smaller games (Super Animal Royale, Rocket League, Rumbleverse, Guild Wars 2) at 200fps+. It has run up to 93 degrees on the GPU on Warzone and Just Act Natural but the keys did not feel hot at all only the side air vents (which are not a bother at all). It has the HDMI, power, and ethernet plug in the back which is extremely convenient and clutter free. The battery by itself last about 2.5-3hrs no matter what you are doing but that is expected. Screen quality isn't the best but not bad at all esp with 4k videos. Also there does not seem to be any bottlenecking with the CPU usage being around 40%-50% and GPU being 70%-90%. Also note I played every game on the highest setting I could and all these numbers are the result of that. My only 2 complaints so far are that very rarely when booting up game for the first time after I turn it on it is extremely underperforming and I have to turn it off and back on to fix the problem (this might be entirely user error) And windows crashing quite frequently the first few days I owned it (which was probably just a windows thing) I bought it at $1,000 USD at best buy at $300 off but when I last checked it dropped down to even $900. I'd say it is well worth the money for a mid-range gaming laptop as it performs far more than needed on any game I have played and is built well for the price. I decided to sell my M1 Macbook Air for $800 in exchange for this to play PC games with my friends and I thought I was going to miss the mac interface and M1 processor but if anything I'm much happier with how this operates and its gaming capabilities. You even get a cool Gigabyte background photo :)

Excellent performance but some bizarre bugs
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this computer's features (webcam, numeric keypad, SD card reader) and performance (solid performance on every game I've tried), but the onboard Gigabyte driver software is broken. I've never been able to update it even from the manufacturer's website. There's also a significant issue with the keyboard, where it periodically (unrelated to Sticky Keys) thinks the Ctrl, Shift, or Windows keys are being held down, and the only consistent resolutions I've found are to sign out of Windows or to reboot the computer altogether.

Great performance, but defective keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Performance is good, lots of ports but has very bizarre issues and bad battery life. This is the computer I've used for uni and it has met my needs for content creation and gaming, but the keyboard is horrendous. It has an awful ghosting issue where, if you press keys for too long it decides you're holding the key and you have to press that repeating key to stop it. Also, the keyboard backlight blinks if it is not at full or low brightness. Battery is lucky to last 2.5 hours, be sure to always have a charger on you. I would have RMA'd the system but Gigabyte has such a poor track record and I couldn't go months without a computer as a uni student. I would not recommend Gigabyte for a laptop.

Good Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this laptop for about a year now and it has done everything I need it to do beautifully. I use this laptop for both work and gaming. This laptop is a entry level game and can play most games pretty good, but don't expect to pushing past 1440p gaming with over 100 fps on max settings. I play pretty well on 1080p and medium sometimes high setting averaging around 60-100 fps depending on the game. As expected with a gaming laptop the battery runs out quick lasting only about an hour and a half or 2 so keep it plugged in. This laptop has lasted a while and hasn't done me wrong, It's still going strong.

Very good laptop for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice laptop for the price I got it for ($850). At that price point, all other laptops come equipped with a very powerful CPU and a 3050 class GPU, which bottlenecks the system in the benchmarks I looked at. Keep in mind that this isn't a true portable laptop, but instead strives to be a desktop replacement. Do not expect it to have the best battery life. Which is also another point since a similarly specced out barebones desktop is about $900. The +1 M.2 slot is PCIe 3.0 x4 confirmed by Gigabyte support, which means getting a 2.5" HDD and an Optane accelerator is the ideal course for an upgrade. If you want Vulkan support, update your Nvidia drivers. They are outdated out of the box and it turns on Vulkan support for everything. Keyboard is a little cramped though, could do without the keypad. OEM is Clevo BTW. Gigabyte does not make this.
