With one week of experience with the safe, I'm pleased. It is as was described online [no surprises], it was delivered one day earlier than originally committed, and it arrived in perfect condition [no damage in shipping]. Walmart's price was also the best; I shopped this model and watched the price increase at other sellers while it held steady at Walmart. Walmart delivered it directly to my apartment door; it weighs 86 pounds so I was very appreciative [another vendor would have left it in a locker in a different building]. Walmart is becoming my first place to check, particularly for large and/or heavy items. My experience has been consistently very good.

Its came sooner than expected, noting was wrong with it. The price was competitive. A decent investment.

This is my second safe that I buy from Sentry, 15 years ago and it's still in great shape and functional..

Received damaged within the styrofoam from factory sentry safe . Styrofoam not damaged but steel crushed on back of safe. Box damaged from FedEx so either damaged in shipment or factory and received that way.  No more in “stock” when I tried to return due to damage so Walmart wouldn't allow return/exchange would need to get a refund, now the cost $50 more for same safe which IS available on the site to purchase. So why couldn't the exchange been done? 90 pounds to ship back and lift multiple times on us and shipping cost on us. Return and new one sent out should have happened.

Raw deal with Walmart

The safe is exactly what I needed, and I really like it. On its journey to my house, it was dropped onto the top right back corner, rippling the case. Not enough for me to expect a 150lb replacement, but certainly should have been scratch-and-dent priced.

Great safe, damaged in arrival

The safe was delivered very well boxed and there were no marks or dings.  The combination worked and the handle lock-out keys also worked,

I selected this safe based on the size of items to be stored and the stated interior dimensions.  When I rechecked the interior dimensions, the width dimension is incorrect.  There are slides on the interior sides of the safe to accommodate the shelf and file hanger provided.  These slides protrude about 1/4” into the interior, on both sides.  The width does not account for this and is approximately 1/2” too wide, making the width less than published.  I had to reassess how to pack the safe.

Also, the combination dial and parts feel cheaper that on an existing Sentry Safe, model 1380,  I purchased many years ago (that still works great).

Nice safe but size is misleading.

I don't love this safe, I would have had it not been so damaged......box was beat up, two corners severely dented on my safe.  I am questioning integrity of my water proof, fireproof safe.

could have been nice

Safe came undamaged from shipping.  Opened first time.  Have not done anything else as of yet, thus the 3 star rating.  Will update review after I have had some time with it (just received it on Saturday 3/9).

If you decide to bolt this safe to the floor, do not use the bolts that are included. As I was tightening one, it snapped off leaving a headless bolt sticking out of my concrete slab. How much of my time and effort will be spent fixing this? More than the safe is worth, I'm sure. Do yourself a favor and purchase some real-deal hardened steel bolts and throw the included ones in the trash so you don't accidentally use them for something else. I'm sure Sentry is very proud of themselves for saving 37¢ per unit by including these garbage bolts. However, by doing so, they're making a strong statement about how they operate as a company and the value they place on their customers' experiences. This experience was very frustrating. It was completely avoidable and that makes me angry. I'm sorry to say that I don't believe I'll be purchasing any Sentry / Master Lock products again after this.
